Boombro
Guys, if beth wanted you to mod your game the geck would be out, but it not.
bladexdsl
beth are just a pathetic now trying to block mods so everyone is forced to use their shitty bethesda.net BS site later so they van control all mods! i think it's time we started boycotting all patches from here on. perm lock your steam into offline mode Bethesda disables mods for BETA!!!! patches with very good reason. They want the feedback on theyr work, and no complaints on "oh my... whiney scream, my mod xyz does not run with a BETA-patch". So, if you dont like it, dont use it. Yes it is that easy. Beta patches are NOT made for everone to use. You have to know what your are doing, and if not, screw yourself, but dont bother others, if someting, not designed for patch3 is not working. oh yeh that how come it wipes your plugins.txt in the current official patch unless you make it read only explain that?! Because they want people to not edit plugins for the first year so they can get legit feedback about the game that needs fixes. They made it clear that mods were not supported for the first year. And considering the recent updates being beta, of course they are going to try to lock modding for the time being. It's not to sabotage but to make it less likely to be modded and easier to fix bugs. Boombro
How about a valid counter argument with proof so we stand corrected instead of blasting your own nonsense? Edited January 21, 2016 by Boombro
bladexdsl
1st they get rid of the inbuilt hidden mod manager. this clearly shows they have no intention of using steam workshop now.than they make official patches disable your mods on purpose. if you can't see what their plans are than your blind. This could have been simply because they want to make the game as fixed as possible before the GECK, the legit modding tool, is out. It normal for mods to break because of patches, is happened with Skyrim. They could have made a better mod block, changed the licence and many other stuff if they didn't want anyone to make mods. bladexdsl
their goal is to get both pc and consoles using the same site to get mods from...THEIRS with full control of what can and can't be put into the game. so good luck waiting for geck i've seen these signs in other games that devs have tried to ban mods. Dude you do realize it hasn't even been a full year right? Bethseda made an annoucement clearly stating that GECK Tool Kit will be released after the first year of the game. You know that right? Bethseda doesn't mess around when it comes to those kind of promises. Look at every single game they have released in Fallout series and Elder Scrolls series. They have always loved modding in their games and approve of them. If they didn't those games wouldn't have sold. You are really paranoid and the fact they give such powerful tools says something about the company. Guys, if beth wanted you to mod your game the geck would be out, but it not. As I stated above it hasn't even been a full year and bethseda made an announcement that they wouldn't support modding for a full year after game's release. It hasn't been close to a full year you know that right? They made it difficult to mod the game so that regular users couldn't mess up their base game with stuff that shouldn't even be told about during feedback. You do realize that every game bethseda has released in Fallout and Elder Scrolls series has always been plagued by massive bugs and such. Look at the beta patch for example. This time around they actually added some good stuff like Debris damage from weapons and HBAO+ as well. If you look at the mods now they are actually putting those types of things into updates now. This isn't like the old days where they release the game and its fully working for most part. Now they do actually do quick releases and then use the entire player base to give feedback on what needs to be fixed. Of course this practice is getting bad since it's causing bad releases that shouldn't be happening. I should also add to you guys. Bethseda actually does like mods for most part. For example the whole settlement feature in fallout 4 most likely came from the famous mod that did this very thing in fallout 3 to New Vegas and skyrim. Godrays coming through windows became big in New Vegas and look at Fallout 4 which they have decided to add that kind of lighting into the game. They even stepped up and went Directx 11 for the first time in their games of these two series. And the game is 64 bit to boot. So yeah they support modding because for modding textures now you really do need a 64 bit executiable to make it work well. So many mods from the past have been slightly implemented into Fallout 4 is not even funny.
