Something screwed up SITTING?

So all of a sudden, sitting was messed up today. I'm not sure what the heck it could be, and it's doing some very strange things.

 

If I click on a chair, my character lines stands closer to it, lined up with it, but does not sit.

If I then go to another chair and click it, I am instantly teleported back to that first chair.

Then if I click the chair again, my character starts walking forward, and will walk straight through any nearby walls and off into the darkness.

If I click activate while this is happening, my character eventually stops, turning to face the chair I had tried to sit in, but still out in the darkness beyond the actual game space.

Another activate will teleport me back into the room above the chair I tried to sit in.

The most recent mods to be activated are "attack and hide", "excaliburs bandages" and some new facial textures.

I wonder if Kuerkee Sittable Rocks is somehow responsible, because it creates a sittable rock whenever I click on a boulder, and that sittable rock is itself moved to the next boulder everytime I click another boulder, but I'm not sure how that would have caused this.

IIRC Knights of the Nine can cause such issue. I can see you're using official DLCs, but where are Unofficial Oblivion Patches and Unofficial Official Mods Patch? UOMP for KoTN can fix this problem, I think. Edited by LFact

Yes - its an official bug introduced by Bethesda

 

and of course

 

its fixed by the usual community mods

Ah okay, looks like on this, the 7th reinstall of oblivion, I forgot to download those. Also I used an installer for the UOMP, but I guess it must have installed it to a different directory, so I'll go manual this time.

 

I will install these and see if that fixes the problem, thank you.

I installed those patches and now Oblivion CTDs as soon as I start it up. Time for complete reinstall #8 I guess!

Refresh my memory redeyes ... were you using the GotY edition? If so install both disks and you will be patched up to full on the official patches (including Shivering Isles). You wouldn't want to try to install any of the official patches after that. The unofficial patches for the main game, Shivering Isles and each DLC are all that's needed after. I'd try without your sit on boulder mod after you install your mods, then add it and see what happens. Pretty easy troubleshooting when the possible conflict list is one mod long.

I had allready tried uninstalling the sittable rocks before I even made the first post. It wasn't that anyways, it was the unnoficial mods supplamentals. Once I deactivated them, the game stopped CTDing. Of course now I have a new problem lol, as always.
