xxmagnanimousxx
can i add to this post?i am using NMM to install my mods. i am at work so i cannot get my exact load order, i can add it when i get home.I had about 5 settlement mods added but i kept getting the keyword limit (i think that is what was happening). so i removed them all accept ocd decorator. it is the only settlement mod i am running currently and i still have "blank" choices in my workshop when building.I am using a few other mods like lowered weapons, true storm, the armour keywords mod, and that is basically it. i was running settlement keywords but i am currently not as it didnt seem to help at all...i followed a guide on here that i found for the load order. any ideas what is causing the "blank" entries...is it the keyword cap and is there a way to get around it. one mod surely shouldnt reach the keyword cap right? If you're talking about what I think you are, I got those too, after the big update in late February.I now have 17 "signs" in the Wall Decorations > Small Signs category that each have a spot in the menu, each have the name "Sign", each say they take 4 steel to make, and otherwise do absolutely nothing. No preview pic, not placeable, do not show up in the game at all.In addition, I did not get the new vanilla signs that Bethesda added with the update. I suspect they are the blanks, and I suspect something - possibly involving SK - is glitching them. I've posted in a number of places about this, and nobody has responded.Anyone know what these "blanks" are and how to fix them?
Ethreon
If SK was the issue, you wouldn't have those items at all. What happens there is that somehow, the game cannot load the file for those items and, while knowing they are there, it cannot display them. It was super simple and allowed me to add a bunch of other building mods without any issues.
