Chemist18
I've modded some in Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, and Civilization V. Nothing spectacular, my most successful got 253 endorsements. Something I've never understood.. What exactly is an ENB and how does one edit/create one? Thanks
Boombro
Just google it and look for the STEP page. The fact you have modded all those and never knew what enb is really odd.To make it short, they are dll files that can add effects to your game, or make the game use more vram like enboost, they are quite demanding however. mm137
They are visual post-processing mods. They add effects on top of the game, rather than changing it internally.
Chemist18
Thanks for the response :). I'll follow what you said about Google. I know previously it was not possible for players to change the names of containers. However, I've seen a mod for FO4 that allows you to change Settler's names. Does this perhaps allow container renaming?
tomomi1922
I've modded some in Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, and Civilization V. Nothing spectacular, my most successful got 253 endorsements. Something I've never understood.. What exactly is an ENB and how does one edit/create one? Thanks ENB is really not a mod, but a 3rd party program. It is made to load along with your Fallout4.exe It will not modify game content. Your save will not know the existence of ENB. How it works? In a nutshell it is created by this one talented person. He offers the core program and the .ini file, and all the ENB uploaders out there are practically uploading the different custom preset of the .ini file. Beside ENB, now they also have Reshade, another program that works well with ENB as well. Sometimes they overlap, sometimes they compliment each other. ENB can open and tweak setting right in the game. Reshade you can open the fx file (another variation of .ini) and tweak all you like. The moment you save .fx, the game immediately update. It's really fun. Like if I enable Monochrome, the game changes to Black and white instantly. Currently Reshade is best to be used to sharpen the game. FO4 looks really soft (thanks to their antialias feature) that looks like everything is out of focus.
Chemist18
Thank You :)! I agree that FO4 looks slightly out of focus, I just thought it was my eyes giving out :).
Boombro
Thankfully, all what fallout 4 needs is some darken, better sharpen to be great. You may wanna look up resehade. It hits less, has weaker effect, but it may be the only thing you need.
