ziitch
Ususally I have no complaints about this, but in this case it's leaving me baffled. Currently, the User Rating on the top-right corner of a member's profile is open to anyone to rate. At one point I was 1 star, then went to 3 stars, and now I'm back to 2 stars - This openness leaves me questioning what I did to lose that star, and who it was that rated me down. In this situation it points out that this rating system can be abused and needs to be either fixed through a requirement such as posting in comments or replying to a member's status, by displaying who rated you, or outright removing the feature from the forums. Does anyone else seem have this "problem"? Edited May 9, 2011 by ziitch
ita
To be honest I don't really see the point of having that star rating. I agree that it is easy to abuse, also from what I can see the rating serves absolutely no function. It should just be disabled or removed, IMO. Dark0ne
Didn't even know it was there. I wouldn't worry about it.
Quetzlsacatanango
Seems to be working perfectly for me, lol
Eiries
I think it's kind of just an IP Board thing. I barely notice it. It works kind of like file ratings did, so if a hundred people give you five stars and a handful give you 1, it'll probably be stuck at four forever. Stuff like that. I think.
