dyoung310
hey guys. i wasn't sure where to post this so if its in the wrong section i am sorry about that. so i am trying to get console command codes (form ids or whatever you call them) that i need out of tes4edit. i want to have all of the codes for my armors, weapons, keys, etc... at my disposal without having to exit/minimize the game and search for the code. what i would like to do is be able to copy and paste a section of codes into notepad or something similar and then send them to my other pc where they could then be viewed while i am playing the game. in tes4edit i cannot find a copy/paste option or any way of getting the text i want out of tes4edit. as of right now what i have been doing is writing the codes down by hand and that gets very tedious. for example in tes4edit it would say this... [1F] Tyrael Armor.esp Armor 1F000800 Tyrael Armor 1F000801 Tyrael Armor Hood i want to be able to copy and paste the code and description into notepad. please let me know if this is possible. thanks! Arthmoor
If you're viewing the item, you should be able to see the formID for it somewhere in the right pane of the display. If you double click the field where the formID shows, you can copy/paste it from there. It's clunky, but it works.

David Brasher
If there were a bunch of items you were interested in on one screen, then you could use your computer's snipping tool to capture an image of the form IDs. You might get a better view of the form IDs in the construction set than in TES4 Edit.

LordEmm
why not use Refskope? you can easily find the code for the item in YOUR game (since some items are created in game and hence do not correspond to any load order code).
MotoSxorpio
I was gonna suggest that one, LordEmm. :P You beat me to it.
