brokenergy
How many people will boycott it this time I wonder?
ub3rman123
Eh, people will buy it anyways. It's got enough of a mindless following that they can live off just the name. I bet they could just release Black Ops again and call it Black Ops 2 and nobody would notice.

That, and there seems to be a lot more trashing of the game on there than anyone who says they're going to buy it.
brokenergy
Yeah they say that about MW2 but look at what we got. It's a stain amongst shooters and should never exist.

I remember the "Boycott MW2" Steam group, a quick look at that group on MW2s release day showed that the vast majority of them were playing it. Just look at the FIFA games, EA have been reselling the same game for about 15 years and it still sells by the bucket load.
antonkr
Well most of my hardcore COD friends who were disappointed by black ops already said they are buying BF3 when it comes out.

If consoles where to somehow disappear..... :whistling:
Halororor
Guys, why are you still complaining about CoD? Ever since the second game (haven't played the first, so can't comment), the game has pretty much been a mindless shooter catering for casual players who want nothing more than a quick, no frills attached, action romp. That's been the case with all the games. Even though people know this, they still seem to buy it and complain because it's mindless. It's not going to change, because the casual players who make up the majority of the player base don't play it because they're stupid, as you bunch claim them to be, they mostly play it because they don't have the desire, interest or time to invest in a more complicated game. Leave them, as long as they enjoy it, why should we look down on them? Because we somehow feel 'superior', with our 'apparent' greater intelligence? There are enough other games out there, Battlefield 3 being an example, that are more suited to your taste, so if you don't like the way the CoD has always gone, then buy any of those and steer clear of CoD. You're not going to change the way they develop games, simply because you are not their target audience, and the audience it is designed for enjoys it enough to ensure it still sells well. Personally, I enjoy every CoD game I play, and I've played all of them since CoD2 multiple times, simply because from time to time I heartily enjoy a mindless romp. And now you're pissed because they're adding fully destructible environments to the game? I really could only shake my head. It's a really nice addition to the gameplay, and sure, they probably copied BF3 in this, but why is it so bad? BF3 didn't trademark fully destructible environments. If it adds to the gameplay, why moan about it. Please drop this ridiculous elitist attitude you guys have adopted towards the CoD series. If you don't like it, it's not aimed at you, so by all means, go play the FPS games you find better. Stop condemning the game and the people who play it for what it is. Liking a game that is considered a mindless shooter doesn't make any person a drooling neanderthal, so stop the elitist attitude towards those people. It doesn't make you appear smart, or superior, it simply makes you seem like an ass for misunderstanding the entire point of why the series exists in the way it does and the motivations behind why its fans play the game.
