Mod Removal

There is a report button on the file page. Simply click the button and fill in all the relevant information so that the moderators can address the issues. It is best that you do not post in the files or anything, just let it be handled.

This process sometimes takes a while. You also need to give the moderators any info and proof that the assets are yours. Good luck.

Ok I see, I surely understand the proof part, and I'm more than happy to comply, however, such evidences are somewhat technical (2D and 3D assets) and obviously I'm not going to provide my own source files to anyone. Would printscreens with comparison of the assets in mod tools (Photoshop, Blender and in this case Nifskope) would suffice?

Thanks in advance!

I think for 2D assests usually a copy of the psd or even a pic of your open psd with the working layers clearly visible is enough proof (and the easy way to go) there should be an equivalent method for models. If they've stolen a lot of your assests only a few examples of your ownership should be necessary.

I would imagine that would work. If there were any other questions the moderators could go from there. You might want to send a note to Sir Salami or another moderator (or find out who is handling the matter) to see exactly what would be needed and start gathering everything up. Good luck to you.

  • 3 months later...

Going to bump on this. I tried to yet once again, report 4 mods (for now) that I want removed from Nexus. I think I've provided more than enough evidence that the mods contain content created by me, so I'll wait to see what will happen. Also lets be logical about it:

3 of the mods are uploaded by the same author and in the description saying: "It doesnt require mod XXX" (well yeah ofc it doesnt, because you are uploading meshes from it without either having asked first, and not crediting)

the 4th mod says very specifically: Requires mod XXX (also developed by me). Thats what happens when you just do texture replacers that are based from the original ones I provided, and need another mod that uses meshes

Also... would like to give a fair warning. Its very likely that after today you will have people trying to upload other mods that are derivative from my work, on Nexus. These mods will relate to my original mod called SAM - Shape Atlas for Men, which is currently being hosted over at another site that doesn't belong to me and I will cut them out from having permissions to host my work, since I started my own website. So I'm declaring that there is a very high chance, that if you have a mod uploaded that says something like requires SAM - Shape Atlas for Men, its being uploaded without my permission.

Also, my origianl author handle (which is banned on Nexus because I requested so) is VectorPlexus.

I hope this issue gets fixed, thanks in advance!

Why would I be scared? Why would I share source files? If anything, asking for source files, without any legal right to do so, its agaisnt the law and Berne Convention protects it by something called copyrights, a concept you may or may not have heard of.
