Mightandmarine
It would add a lot more realism to the role-playing element if marriage abilities were added. However, the more realistic it becomes, the less stuff you'll be able to do... If you get hit by an axe you would either fall and die or be wounded. If you are wounded they take all of your stuff and you have to wait days in real time for some one to come by and help you to town assuming you did not bleed to death. While in town you would have to be treated to medical care for three months in real time which consists primarily of laying in bed and letting a doctor heal you. Then when your treatment is over you would be unable to adventure because the wound left irreversible tissue damage so you get a house and become the scary old man across the street while you stare at the children outside through the window. Then you wait about sixty years in real time until you pass away, alone. Then you would start a new game and repeat.
InuyashaFE
There are some things that shouldn't be added for 'realism', especially when you can shoot fire and lightning out of your fingertips. That's kind of the reason why I don't see why people hate 'anime' swords.

Realism is when everything is like real life, being realistic is saying a small Asian woman can not stand with breasts the size of automobiles and could not feasibly hold a blade the size of her waist. Okay, first of all, you're exaggerating. I was talking about big swords and you went straight to asian women. I'll be honest with you, I don't like having over-sexualized characters either, my point is the swords. If your character can hold several different suits of armor, several different weapons, tons of keys, books, etc. without any sort of backpack or luggage, they can feasibly hold a large sword with one hand. NAPALM13092
There are some things that shouldn't be added for 'realism', especially when you can shoot fire and lightning out of your fingertips. That's kind of the reason why I don't see why people hate 'anime' swords. I can deal with an oversized weapon if it isn't overkill like if I am playing an Orc or a Nord then yea I can see myself lugging around a massive claymore or warhammer but once you get aything approaching the size of a person it kills it for me especially if the person wielding it is tiny like a Woodelf with Cloud's sword from FF7 or the Tsaiga or whatever that sword is from Inuyasha (sorry if I slaughtered the spelling never was a big anime watcher just remember that show from Adult Swim). But to each their own I don't care if other people want to use them just not my personal cup of tea. So yea I personally hate "Anime" swords if that is what you want to call them but I don't berate others for using them. I don't like the taste of tangerines but do I stand in the grocery store yelling at people who buy them and call them names, no. To each their own I like practical medieval weapons and armor like claymores, battleaxes, maces, chainmail, leather, platemail, etc. but some people don't and that's just dandy. Kuraikiba
What is with people and romance? What would you even do when married? Fight, make each other miserable, and have sex?

Why do people always pull this on me when I defend anime swords? Okay, you may not be, and I never said you did, I was referring to how I find sarcastic comments on Nexus about how stupid anime mods are and such, that's like saying 'Well tangerines are stupid and taste terrible and they're for morons, but if you like them that's okay'. Which I'm not directing this at you, I'm talking about the comments I find when people discuss Oblivion mods. And you'd be surprised to find that people do get berated for talking about anime mods, too. My beef isn't with you, it's with Mightandmarine who 'stood in the grocery store yelling at people'. I mentioned anime swords, and he jumped right to talking about over-sexualization which is something completely different than the point I was trying to make. Kuraikiba
Dude, face it, people are stupid. One wind scar from the Tetsusaiga will shut them up fine. Then see if the will criticize anime swords. :P
