SassyTheSasquatch1 Posted February 21, 2016 Share Posted February 21, 2016 Trying to make a wasteland-style katana, I've basically taken a lead pipe and then attached the blade from the Shishkebab (removing the valves and pipes was painful). I used a gear for the tsuba. Only problem is, it's invisible ingame. :confused: Think I might start a thread and ask for help. Looks pretty bardarse in Max though. I know that there is a lot more to a katana than "curved blade" but it's not like anyone's going to give a s#*! in the wastelands. If it can slice heads off then use it amirite? So might not start working on anything worthwhile for another week or two. That said, gonna get around and update/upload the tattoos I'm usingAnd add the aliens to the settlement menu since why not? Haven't seen any mod that have added them yet.And possibly a robot defender with the Liberty Prime voice, some random, fun looking mesh and a really patriotic paintjob. (had plans for a more serious robot settlement mod before Bethesda announced their DLC)See if I can abuse some keywords to make some new furniture with some weird uses. I haven't done any modding for a Bethesda game since Morrowind was the new kid on the block. Usually I work with the unreal engine on mapping or making props and other models for games with much more simple graphics(usually hand-painted stuff like torchlight). Working on:-Bringing various existing assets into the workshop. Too many to list, and if somebody beats me to it, more power to them. -Importing various swords and other melee weapons I have modeled/textured over the years. Contemplating (if you see an idea you like and want to make it a reality have at it, I just want it in game and don't give a crap how it gets there. - though do shoot me a note so I don't miss it among all the other mods.): -Fort strong hand cannon~ just a weapon replacer that scales down the canons that are at fort strong (among other places) and switches it for the actual cannon in the Broadsider because I find the existing model unappealing. -Alien SMG~ An energy weapon (of course) SMG in the style of the Alien Blaster. It could probably be made with existing assets alone... haven't looked into it. -Grandaddy Deathclaw. Real-life fact: reptiles continue to grow as long as they live... This irradiated lizard somehow has managed live and go unnoticed for possibly a century or more. It would almost be a shame to kill it... Except he is 40ft. tall and might be suffering from a hangover cause he is in a really bad mood. You may want to bring friends and/or a spare nuke along. In my Dreams (because my imagination hasn't got the memo yet that I am a total noob at this system and a lousy programmer, hi-poly modeler, and animator at this juncture): -Expanded territory. If possible I would import the expanse of Skyrim delete villages,ruins, etc. Replace with FO4style towns, villages, raider encampments, etc. call it Canada and enjoy. -The frail alliance. Force BOS, Minutemen, and railroad to get along because the raiders, gunners, and remains of the institute have banded together to make life unpleasant in the commonwealth. The pinnacle of this custom quest-line would be an all out war in the swamp. Straying into the realms of DLC with this 1. -Commonwealth 1777. The institute built a time machine and used it to go back to revolutionary war era Massachusetts and arm the Indians with laser rifles as it was determined that ancestors of the lone survivor were instrumental in the revolution, and well duh, you're not just gonna let them chop down your proverbial family tree... As crazy as this 1 seems, a lot of that which would be needed is in place in game or available through mods. In game for instance; Mohawks(the hairdo). Redcoats(on manikins). Bears, wolves, and coyotes (with re-texture). Deer (with re-texture and minus any extra heads). Canons. Historic old buildings. Old boat model (need some repairs). Also might be able to pull some horses and other stuff out of Skyrim. So yeah I hopped skipped and danced into the realm of dlc with that one and lets be frank with my current skill-set it wont happen... but a man can dream, a man can dream. djjohnjarvis Posted February 22, 2016 Share Posted February 22, 2016 An advanced fully voiced follower for Fallout 4 along the lines of Sofia (my Skyrim follower mod) complete with a vault quest line. She will be quest aware, scripted and all that. I've already started on the lines and they are being recorded in advance of the CK by the same voice actress. As usual the character will be something a little different, with an emphasis on silly but lore friendly humour although different from my other follower mod.
