Non-stop galloping for horses

"As if horses couldn't defy physics enough without modding. At low level, bears used to be such a pain to deal with. Until I got my first horse that is. With CH installed, I simply galloped up the side of a mountain and left the bears snarling in frustration below."

I can already climb nearly every mountain with my vanilla Whiterun horse. I still get surprised at what can be accomplished*. Do not need CH for that.

Also, I've long since learned to fight from horseback (using greatsword mainly due to its longer reach.) Takes some practice. Also, do not just stand still trying to fight a bear or numbers of enemies. Hit and run; hit and run. String them out so you might get them one at a time. But if you do stand to fight a single enemy, it's usually best to go into walk-mode, so the horse doesn't just make large circles where you cannot hit the opponent.

I have a youtube vid on mounted combat:

* The horse climbing ability isn't exactly realistic. However, if I think of me and my horse climbing with the skill of a real life rock climber I guess I can get away with that.

PS: How does one includes quotes in the reply? Mine doesn't seem to work.

Oh, I agree. Honestly, I was just being a smart-aleck. Seriously though, I like Convenient Horses because the MCM menu lets you adjust everything about the horses. So for people who want just a tad more galloping, or horses that (sensibly) stay the hell out of your way in combat, CH is great for making those tweaks.

EDIT: To quote other people's posts, just hit the "Quote" button you see on the lower right-hand side of each post. Just experiment a bit and you'll see how it works.

Actually I am glad you mentioned that - why does this quote thing not work for me? I have tried what you said & virtually everything else, but it never works (I say virtually because obviously there is SOMETHING that I haven't tried or it would have worked by now ... ?)

I've also tried multiquote, actually selecting text then using one of the quote buttons, pressing one of the quote buttons then reply to topic, more reply options ... :D

The only way I've ever been able to reply directly to someone is in the posts section of a mod page.

Quoting still doesn't work for me, either. Besides clicking the quote button, what else is there to experiment with?

Hmmm. The only thing I can think of is that your browser settings may be causing the issue. Maybe something like a no-script blocker in your browser?

You should be able to:

A): Click "Quote" to reply to a single post or,

B): Click "MultiQuote" for each post you want to reply to then click the "Reply to x quoted posts(s)" (where "x" equals the number of "MultiQuote" you've clicked.)

Try a different browser. I'm using Firefox. A lot of people swear by Chrome also. If you're using some sort of script/ad blocker, be sure to set it to allow functions (give permissions) to the forums here.
