huntsman2310a Posted May 22, 2011 Share Posted May 22, 2011 on the uv map for the advanced combat armour, i'm trying to retexture it (NCR Assault armour), by putting a little red on it, (on the left pauldron and right chest piece) but when I use texture paint on the UV map, it paints both Pauldrons at the same time. umm,help please? Ghogiel Posted May 22, 2011 Share Posted May 22, 2011 The pauldrons are not uniquely unwrapped. So this is not possible to do on the current mesh/UV set up. What can be done is edit the mesh... if you can do some basic modelling than you'd already know what you'd need to do. Splitting the chest piece in half isn't recommended.. I'd actually make like an extraction off of the mesh, which would be a separate mesh, technically it would be a called decal mesh, Basically done in exactly the same way as how army, outcast etc decals are added to power armor already. but instead of adding a insignia, it would be colored stripes. that would imo be the easiest way to add stripes. that way you are not faffing with more complex nifs like outfits, just adding a armor addon so to speak.
