TommInfinite
I have FCO patch and I need to copy facegen data from one formID to another (in the same patch!). When I do that in FNVEDIT geck CTDs when I try to preview the character. Has anyone knows the solution to this? Why is it always like that? I spend hours trying to figure this out and just after posting this I noticed "Copy-Paste" buttons in GECK itself and managed to to what I wanted. Jokerine
Thanks for posting the solution, too, in case others may need it :)
JimboUK
You can use FNV/FO3Edit to copy/paste face data between mods, characters or even copy/paste from FO3 to FNV and visa versa, the racial traits must be the same though.... http://i.imgur.com/i5kbKdY.jpg
rickerhk
To expand a bit on what Jim_uk said, CTRL select a second NPC from the same or any other plugin, right-click and 'compare selected'. Then drag those three facegen sections from source NPC to destination NPC.
TommInfinite
I copied and pasted them manually (as text). Maybe that was my mistake.
JimboUK
I double click the source one, select all and copy, then on the NPC I want to transfer it on to I shift double click which makes it editable, select all, backspace and then paste. bethjunkie
You can copy and paste them as text. I often pull out face data and put it in a notepad file until I need it. Just make sure to do as JimUk said and shift-double click in xEdit to access the full window. If you paste straight into the right-side pane, some of the data gets cut off and it will crash both the Geck and the game as you experienced.
