How to make enemies ignore the player in combat

For my next playthrough I want the player character to do zero fighting.

I will have a small team of companions who will do all the fighting for me.

So far, I've made a spell that grants me invisibility and muffles footsteps whenever I'm in stealth.

The problem with that spell is that my followers will start sneaking too.

And the console command tdetect disables detection for everybody, which is not what I want.

Is there a better way to make enemies ignore me in combat? Through spell or script?

Illusion spells might help.

I don't know whether things like Calm will stop your followers attacking, but there is a video on YT of a guy who played a Pacifist Monk and never killed anything. I don't know how he dealt with Dragons and got Shouts, though.

Can your Follower Mod stop them going into Stealth? I remember before I got some separate "Better Follower Sneaking" type of mod, they would often ruin my righteous sneaking by attacking enemies anyway.

You can add the player to the "dunPrisonerFaction" 000AA784 with a custom spell or with the console, that faction is "ally" to pretty much every enemy in the game, i used it so some npcs i created dont get attacked or attack anything, i didnt test it with the player but most likely it would work in the same way.

Would that make enemies still attack my followers on sight? (I want this to happen)

I concur that a potion/spell might work. There are already various "flee" options. Alternatively, you can just run out of harms way.

But I don't see the point. What, then, is the purpose of playing the game?

I have a mod idea: just make a mod that plays the game for us, while we watch TV or go to work. Later, we can watch high-light cut scenes.

They should still attack mobs on sight.
