aaroncox
So what could this mean moreover what has been talked about previously, like destroying the eco system of towns and villages. Could you destroy houses? burn houses? buildings? where and how? from gasoline, or by bashing it with your axe. outside environments? burning leaves in forests, from fire spells etc. your thoughts please. AurianaValoria1
I think they mentioned something about lighting oil on fire. Destroying houses and towns by fire seems entirely plausible, since dragons can attack them now.

I think that the fact that dragons can attack towns is all the more reason Beth would probably not want towns to be entirely destructible. It would kind of stink to only get to see 3 of the 20 towns because the others were burnt to the ground before I got there. :-P That said, modifying their AI so that they don't attack while you're gone is entirely feasible, and so long as only the player character is able to destroy an entire town, then I'd be all for it. That would require Beth to change the way they do inside environments though. They'd have to be persistent with the outside world to be done right. aaroncox
but is the idea possible? i mean burning exterior environments?

Bloodinfested
Heard that anything that is combustible will burn but I doubt that means one fireball will burn the entire forest down or a village. My guess on how it will work it will burn so much within a set radius of the spell and maybe like dead ppl for example the burned look will stay like that for some time and will eventually go back to looking normal

But I could be wrong.
InuyashaFE
I could see them probably making the houses semi-destructable, and only certain buildings completely destructable. It was mentioned before, such as cracking a window with an arrow, or leaving slash marks on wood. That sort of thing.
Keanumoreira
If Beth does do destructable environments, IMO, it would burn down forests but not houses and villages. It is easier to respawn a forest (Or a few trees...) than a village since it wouldn't be so realistic if the same house randomly appeared again. I'd like to see how Beth deals with burning down villages without simply rebuilding the same one in the same spot.... antonkr
One thing you have to understand is the cells are separate. Just destroying part of the wall would have to move the entire cell to the outside cell. Its really not very plausible.
