Klipperken
@ JujooGuppy: that's damned short through the curve, ainnit? Why should we not be able to be BOTH Raider AND Minutemen?Think about this, if I were a Sith, I'd play both sides of the coin. And make the most profit out of both. Otherwise, you could, as a Minuteman, be an infiltrator in the Raider gang for info on jobs, or whatever.THIS!!!!! is what we miss, options in every direction.RP in it's purest form. EDIT: lol, typo: moist had to be most. XD Edited March 5, 2016 by Klipperken
Boombro
Cool idea, may wanna check up the raider overhaul mod since the modder is making many raider themed gear, and also what seemed group themed.
PoliteRaider
Cool idea, may wanna check up the raider overhaul mod since the modder is making many raider themed gear, and also what seemed group themed. Wow, it's pretty amazing stuff. I love that suit of junk power armour. If I worked on something like this I'd definitely contact them and ask for their help. I hadn't meant to commit to saying that I was going to overhaul all the raiders in the commonwealth, that was just some suggested ideas about how it could be done. I'll admit that I'm tempted to try to work on something. However the sensible part of my brain is saying that it might be a little ambitious for my skill level, after all this would be my first major project and it's interfacing with probably the largest part of the vanilla game. Klipperken
Polite, one has to start a major project a first time anyway, why not this one, AND learn from that in the process? It's what I would do.Too bad, my project back then was far too massive to do in by myself... or I would've.
Boombro
Just outline it, make steps and back up your stuff all the time.
PoliteRaider
Alright, I'll try to draw up some design documents and see what sort of resources and assistance I might need in making it work. Can't promise anything yet, but I'll take a look at it.

EDIT: lol, typo: moist had to be most. XD True enough, I am not opposed to that at all. My thoughts were more along the lines of, the more complex you try to make the idea, the harder it is to do and less likely to be done (By modders, I mean.) If I thought I had the know-how, I would consider working on the idea myself, since I have a fair bit of time at work to do modding. I was thinking about the Gunners a bit more, and how they would fit into what I would / would've liked to have seen with settlements / minutemen / raiders.. If the Raiders took all settlements by force basically, and minutemen set out to establish settlements peacefully / helping people, the Gunners could fall as an inbetween -- They could be paid to 'protect' settlements, but if for whatever reason the settlement were to refuse, they could go in guns a blazing. Think something along the lines of Negan and the Saviors, and run with a concept like that for how they acquire settlements. Of course adding the ability for the BOS and Institute to build settlements with unique features would also have been a way to take it further. Of course joining raiders / gunners doesnt have to tie into the settlement system, it just feels like such a natural addition to me, like it really shouldve been in the vanilla game. *shrug* I would be all for being able to join the "bad guys" in any form lol. PoliteRaider
I am going to go ahead with that idea and I wrote up some documentation of my plans. If you're interested you can see them here.
