*stands up* Uhhh hi um my name is Matt and ... I um .... I'm a hoarder. *sits down*

My last playthrough I started using SPERG, no longer needed Ars Metallica because now I could salvage even more from low level loot! And seeing as this meant I now had a near endless supply of iron ingots I no longer needed to smelt iron ore but could instead use the transmute spell to turn it into gold. So I filled Breezehome to the rafters with my ill gotten gains that I was going to breakdown/transmute later. Definitely. When I had the time.

At the moment I'm learning Blender so I can transfer his'n'hers gimp suits from Poser into Skyrim.

Mods lots of mods I like npc and follower mods anything that fills skyrim up from its dead vanilla stance. Current play through 160 + mods active including Frostfall as far as followers Arissa as she works so well with frostfall and my ranger style play but who is perfect really depends on how you play. My biggest confession I fiercely protect any npcs and woe unto anyone who tries to kill one.

I always promise myself I won't fast travel. Then I start that main quest and damned if I'm walking around that stupid mountain to get to Ivarsted again.

@Rubbermat, I have some Blender skills but I've never tired making mods or game assets.

I barely mod. The most mods i've ever run at one time was 21, and 4 of those i made myself. My average is 5. And i don't use the Unofficial Patches.

Why?

Lachdonin - where do you get that kind of willpower from?! :D

It's not really a matter of willpower, it's more a matter of preference. While it's often sloppy, unbalanced and poorly paced, Skyrim just hits the spot. I typically run a few mods that expand on some of its weaknesses (Magic, Combat and Perks, mostly) and will try out a new quest-mod from time to time, but on the whole, most mods don't really speak to me. I'm not big on hyper realism, i'm not big on survival, i've yet to find a Companion that i can stand for any period of time (beyond Serana... dunno what it is about her...) and i'm not really concerned with how my weapons look (particularly since the underlying mechanics render them basically nothing but skins for the same ham-bat anyway).

It could also be because i play many other games, so i have isolated experiences of games which simply do things better. If i want a survival game, i'll play 7 Days to Die or Don't Stave. If i want thoughtful and realistic characters with a engrossing story, i'll play Mass Effect 2. If i want to build things i'll play Minecraft.

If i want a little bit of everything, i play Skyrim... but there aren't really any mods that improve on that jack of all trades aspect. So, i don't extensively mod my game.
