Can it run on 50~60FPS will some low setting D: ?

It certainly should run well at that resolution, maybe a mix of low & medium.... tweak it enough and it should run smoothly.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to decide between getting Skyrim for my PC (laptop) or PS3. Do you think this setup will be able to achieve medium (or med-high) settings at about 35-40 fps? Or should I just suck it up and go PS3 to avoid the headaches?

Intel i7 620M Dual Core @ 2.66 GHz (boosts to 3.33)

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 1GB, overclocked, running catalyst 11.9 desktop drivers

4 GB RAM @ 1.33 Ghz

Win 7 x64

7200 rpm HDD

Will scale resolution down to probably 1600x900 or even 720p

2x - 4xAA if I can pull it off, but willing to cut it out if I have to.

The only game I've played on it so far is Mass Effect 2, which it handled admirably.

Thanks for any help or advice! Hoping to preorder soon but am nervous of PC performance..

What do you think of this setup? Trying to decide on whether to go for the PC version (for the mods) or settle for the PS3 version (i shall miss the mods in that case). Graphics aren't that much of an issue for me.

Windows Vista 32 bit

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.33 GHz

3 GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD4670 1GB

Resolution 1280x960

Thank you for doing this!

Here is my info:

Windows 7 64 bit

Intel i7 3.2 GHz

6gb RAM 2000MHz

Radeon HD 5850 Overclocked

I would think you should get playable fps @ ultra settungs @ 1080p... It's hard to say for sure, but you are well above the Recommended Requirements... so Very High towards Max should be pretty easy for your rig.

Thanks a lot mate!!

Will SkyRim run okay for me on its highest settings? I kind of just assume I should upgrade...SOMETHING. I just don't know what. Better CPU? More RAM? I feel like my GPU is probably fine... but I want this game to run smoothly and look like it's meant to look, and am happy to upgrade my system a bit to achieve this. The problem is, I am not educated enough in this sort of thing to know what to do, so I'm hoping someone here can guide me on what, if anything, I should do. :)

Thanks!

I'll be playing on a 720p TV with this:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_qfe.100216-1510)

BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz

Memory: 2814MB RAM (4GB Physically installed)

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

[EDIT]Video Card: GeForce GT 220

I'm thinking of maybe just upgrading the operating system to a 64 bit version of WIN7?!? So I can gain access to all my installed ram, would that be a good idea? Also gain access to DirectX 10.1 I believe.

I'm probably going to wait till I get before spending any cash on it to find out just how awful it runs. On the other hand it would be nice to have it all ready to go and downloaded via steam before hand.

[EDIT] Removed back-story and added Graphic Card info
