martybaby96
This is perhaps because I have a follower but I don't know anymore. I beaten the game on Master and it was extremely easy so I decided to start over with Legendary but that wasn't enough so I decided to download Revenge of the Enemy and Deadly Combat at the same time. The game is still easy I don't know why. I think its because I have a follower, it basically tank and takes the damage for me and I just shoot my bow.Should I not be playing with a follower or something? Like what do you guys do? I have a feeling my follower is overpowered because of a mod like deadly combat that makes it block more so it can take more damage from the enemy.Sometimes it tanks like 3 bandits but before my follower fell to the ground, the 3 bandits just dead from me shooting them with a bow before it does anything. So I decided to 1 vs 1 my follower, I pwned Lydia and it felt like she wasn't overpowered. It felt like taking down 1 bandits just a tad bit harder. I also use conjuration and summon creatures. I don't know, it just seems like I'm being punished for using the resources that I know. If I don't use a follower, I'll resort to conjuration summoning or something. But then... if I don't use any followers at all. These bandits will 2 shot me LITERALLY making the game unplayable or perhaps I'm doing something wrong to prevent it. I don't know, can you guys help? martybaby96
Edit: Just uninstall deadly combat, and revenge of the enemy and Lydia is still taking like 10 giant hits. Why is Legendary Difficulty make followers so op and tanky?I should figure out how to play without a follower then.
Boombro
It seems you don't really balance your game right. . I think its because I have a follower, it basically tank and takes the damage for me and I just shoot my bow. I don't know, it just seems like I'm being punished for using the resources that I know. If I don't use a follower, I'll resort to conjuration summoning or something. But then... if I don't use any followers at all. If you were an archer, and fighting in clear view, why are you not using heavy armor? Sometimes it tanks like 3 bandits but before my follower fell to the ground, the 3 bandits just dead from me shooting them with a bow before it does anything. That is what a bow should do however. And you said before, you die from one hit. While you are strong, you die really fast. That is balanced and fair play. Did you try another follower type? For me, if I was a light armored archer with summons. I would sneak close and try to take another archer or two if I had the time. Then run away to draw the bow for another shot. Maybe set runes and walls first hand and draw my foes to them.
Moksha8088
A low-tech solution would be to divest yourself of weapons, wear plain clothing and fight with your fists like they do in Solstheim. Once you are able to slay a dragon in this manner and walk across rice paper without leaving a mark, you will be ready for something else Dovahkiin. cdcooley
The "difficulty level" settings provided by the game simply alter how much damage the NPCs can give and take so that you become stronger or weaker relative to all other NPCs. Followers are NPCs which means scaling up the difficulty doesn't change how they interact with other NPCs it just makes you weaker.
Rabbit1251
I don't use followers simply because it does make the game far too easy. Especially if the follower is set to essential. Rabbit

Bloodwardena
How do you even kill crap with a bow on legendary when you start from the beginning because my character only does like... 1-5% damage per shot depending whether its a simple bandit or a marauder. Does deadly combat buff bows?
