LE Shield Bracers

i just got an idea for making a mod.

in infinity blade 3, isa blocks with her bracers, and i thought it would be pretty cool if it was possible in skyrim.

does anyone know if there already is a mod, otherwise: Let's create it!

for anyone who doesn't know what i mean, look at the picture included.

1. block with that on your arm instead of a shield.

I just happened to be messing around with this very thing tonight. Oddly, there is an animation for blocking with bracers already in the game, it is just never used. I have modded mine so that characters wearing heavy bracers block instead of attacking with the left hand when fighting hand-to-hand. That small change is easy enough. I haven't investigated how easy it would be to make it work with a weapon in hand.

for me it's just a challenge for in my free time.

so, please let me mod it, and this is a pretty big breaktrough and it will make it a lot easier.

this also means it will (perhaps) be fnis free, and a lot easier to install, do you know where i can find it?

Just a thought but why not just make an invisible shield?

i can also do that, but i want a challenge.

but i can always temporarily use that.

so, to give some details about the 100% finished mod:

for every shield, there will be a bracer version, obtainable by using the normal shield at the forge

this is also revertable, for updating the mod.

 

i will use lofgren's finding's for the blocking animation

and if you bash with your shield, you'll pretty much use an left-handed, unarmed punch.
