MadDiplomat
After many many years I reinstalled Oblivion and installed every eye candy mod I could find. This was my initial reaction:http://farm1.static.flickr.com/194/490806934_5fc42f0785.jpg To this:http://i.imgur.com/HwE7J.jpg I have to say... The community really went above and beyond here. I basically spent an entire afternoon just browsing through various awesome mods. Edited June 15, 2011 by MadDiplomat
Gracinfields
Yep a modding community can really overhaul a game. Oh and nice hair, looks almost like the Adoring Fan's hair.
silenzer
I couldn't agree more. I too spent an entire afternoon (afternoons actually) browsing through mods. And I haven't even browsed through them all! :( As the above poster said, nice hair btw! ^^

Faivon
lol adoring fans hair XD Aside from beautiful environments, the clothing and characters also get a huge portion of overhaul. Even with good graphic card I got now, it's still not enough to bring Oblivion to its full power :P
TimmyTheNerd
I wish my computer could handle the awesome mods. *sob*
MichikoUnknownFox
(Directed mostly to TimmyTheNerd, but useful information for anybody anyway.) Some of the beautifying mods don't really affect FPS much at all. Things like AWLS, Cava Obscura and Weather - All Natural can really add to the visuals and immersion for the game, without any noticeable affect on FPS. There are other things you can do, too. If you have 512 MB of VRAM, even on a cheaper graphics card, you can probably handle one of the QTP3 Redimized and Reduced texture packs. The increased texture resolution and the better normal maps can really make a difference.
MadDiplomat
Just to set the record straight, that isn't my hair, it's just some dude that came up when I googled "jaw dropping" :D A big thanks to all the lads and lasses of the mod community for making a great game moreYes, thank you all very much!! Even with good graphic card I got now, it's still not enough to bring Oblivion to its full powerThat's why I respect this game so much. Cities are no problem, but as you can see in the above screenshot, my FPS is only 30 (it can get lower than that in wide open areas fast). My system is i7 2600K @ 4.6 GHz, 16GB DDR3 and 2xHD6950 2GB in crossfire and Oblivion just obliterates all of that. It's awesome and frustrating at the same time :) So excuse me gentlemen while I go and immerse myself in the wonderful world of Oblivion :P And again modders - you rock! :) Edited June 15, 2011 by MadDiplomat
