I felt like Todd was eating the indie developer with his eyes! In my mind, it went-

http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/sweat.gifNotch: " I played your games."

http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/dry.gifTodd: "Cool. We played Minecraft for like a week... but there weren't anymore updates coming anytime soon, so we quit."

http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/sweat.gifNotch: "We'll have an API for modding soon."

http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/armscrossed.gifTodd: "Our modding community is awesome. We let the fans know we love them by implementing their ideas in our games."

Notch: Microsoft really wants Kinect in everything now"

Todd: *sigh*.... I'm aware of that.

ROFL

Yep, this and several other little side comments are pure gold. Especially where Todd kinda tips his hat off to modders for helping define the game as something unique on the PC.

Didn't Todd state he wants to see mods on console games?

I have no idea how that's going to work cause i don't see pc modders taking the time to port their work to console, unless its effectively a 5 minute job.

Anything is possible but i think this dream of his is way to far out.

Thoughts?

He said that he'd like to, not that he was going to try. Honestly, the main reason modding won't go to the consoles is because Microsoft stubbornly insists against it for fear of someone bricking their console and complaining to them. It's more red tape than any technical issue.
