JayCowell1
I liked the idea from fallout 2 were you can choose between i think 3 mafia families to join, all with their own benefits. Boston used to be a slight mafia orientated place, and there are also hints at mafia/mobsters in Fallout 4 currently. (quest in diamond city with Malcolm Latimer, and the triggermen) I would like to see some sort of mod based around the mafia, possibly introducing new weapons, clothing such as suits and fedoras, or even followers. possibly even make the Triggermen a joinable faction, in which you can rise the ranks and eventually become the Don. I was glad to see some reference to mobsters/mafia in the vanilla game but felt it could have been built on a bit more. For the Karma system, there isn't really much choice when it comes to being a good guy or bad guy in the vanilla game, and if the mod idea above gets noticed, a Karma or reputation system would fit well into the role of a mobster. Building a reputation as someone important in the game and not just a freak who crawled out of a hole and made best mates with a stray dog. The ideas above will also bring more RP to Fallout 4, which i feel it lacks a bit. Share any thoughts you may have below.
Boombro
You really don't need a karma system to have any sort of stats in ranks of a faction. Some scripts by good quest modder can easily make all effects of the karma system without the horrible system.
JayCowell1
I suppose that could make the concept of the mod a lot simpler. After all the karma system on FO3 and FONV was quite pointless... I do like the idea of a Mafia quest mod. Maybe it could be reworked for a separate mod? Just a thought.

I just feel it gives your character a bit more depth as well as more roleplay opportunities. Let's see what happens when the GECK is out. Might see a totally new Karma system. Flowerguy360
I would say we should drop the Karma system. Use Reputation for this, instead. This would go extremely well with a Raider mod that allows you to become a Raider and trade slaves, etc. Those two together would turn the game on its head so far as roleplaying options go. JayCowell1
I agree, reputation would open up more options with mods that could be made, like a triggermen faction, or raiders, or even introduce a new faction mod, reputation would allow them all to interact like FONV's reputation system.
