naked blade
I have mentioned this on some other posts. I am tired of getting my butt kicked because the 'Q' or 'R' do not respond instantly as they should. Further, I have to keep clicking the mouse to get anything to happen most of the time. I have changed keyboards, and the mouse many times over and it doesn't change a thing. I have also quit the game and did a complete reboot to see if that would help any. It was mentioned to me that there were possible memory leaks in the game and a reboot might help this issue...so far it has not. This has been an issue from the very start and now it is getting old. Anyone else having this problem? How I got through the Kayran is still amazing to me having this problem and now I'm stuck on the roof with that stoooopid dragon and he/she is having a heck of good time smacking me around because I can't get the Quen to work fast enough...and I hate to say it...I had to drop to the easy mode. To top that off, when I try to attack, I just stand there for a second and by then...you get the idea. naked blade
I guess I'm the only one that had this issue, but for the sake of any others that this may happen too, I think I figured it out. I use a tablet for some of my artwork and it has a mouse with it. I think my system was reading from both, the tablet and the mouse I am using for this game. I unplugged the tablet and that seemed to solve the problem. Don't know why I didn't think of this before, but there you have it. So if you have a tablet (Waccom) and are using another mouse, you may want to unplug the tablet before you start playing. Just letting you know.
nosisab
Although I don't have that game yet to say for sure, may have some options in the ini file to disable gamepad and possibly input devices other than the mouse and keyboard. At first I thought it could be caused by lag, not uncommon and sometimes reduced or eliminated by decreasing the number of pre-render frames the video driver is doing. In Nvidia Control Panel this is straight forward as changing the "Maximum pre-rendered frames" option from the default 3 to 2, 1 or even 0 in extreme case. PS: notice this may cause stuttering in some cases, like rotating the vision field by large angles but not always... is a try and err process until finding what works better. Still, if disabling the Waccon table solved the issue, it's solved :) Edited June 23, 2011 by nosisab
BarefootWarrior
You could be on to something here, I do know I am pushing my video card pretty hard with this game. I am using a GeForce GTS 250 and it may be taking up a lot of resources while playing. I did back off on the settings though, but I'll look into this further. Thanks for the info.
