tony1892
I was just wondering what do you guy's think the 'Creation Engine' will allow modders to do differently or better than the Gamebryo Engine?
TKHawke
I was just wondering what do you guy's think the 'Creation Engine' will allow modders to do differently or better than the Gamebryo Engine? Well I'm no mod creator myself (infact I've never even been able to begin understanding Oblivion's construction set) but if bethesda has learned anything from previous games, it's how much people can and will mold the game into the way want within their given limitations. They even included a few aspects from some of the most popular of mods for this new game. All in all I think bethesda has seen enough of what the modding community is capable of with their last game engine and hopefully have the new engine not only be crafted for open-world games like they said, but for great modding capabilities too. Beths hasn't seemed to leave the modders in the dark so I have a feeling they will not disappoint with this new engine. (small side note: we both hit 23 posts with this thread :P ) Edited June 20, 2011 by TKHawke

ub3rman123
We don't know that much, really. We'd like to, but we don't.
tony1892
" All of those changes made it into our internal editor as well. So much had changed that we decided to call the engine and editor by a new name, the Creation Engine and the Creation Kit. We can't wait to see what all the brilliant mod makers do with these tools. Ghogiel
Too soon to tell. But I have little doubt it will be more powerful and allow for more depth. Just have to see how things are laid out, scripting functions, and of course how smooth asset creation happens on the new nif format. I'm most excited about the animation engine and what they used to replace facegen.
tony1892
I know right! I mean look at how we were able to Extend Oblivions Animation's, Graphics , and AI with its Engine ha I hardly think a script extender will be nesscesary!
