Vindekarr
Last night I, and many others, had a major glitch with Dawn Of War II. Specificaly, the game's steam based matchmaking service went down, I logged out of steam to try and re-boot, but when I went to relog, it stated "steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers" Ok I thought, I'll give it some time, maybe they did a patch without telling us, Im sure it will be up tommorow. Now, it's a full 24 hours later and it's the same message, I can't get any of my steam games to start, I can't even log in. Anyone else got this problem? And to think, I was THIS <> close to forgiving steam it's many faults, and now half my collection is locking me out. Charming.
Deleted2816180User
Thats weird, I have Dawn of War II too and i just stopped playing it, only thing that didnt work was Games for Windows Live (it always fails, BAD software) so i had to play solo. All my steam games are working 100%.I think that the only right thing to do is wait for a few hours, cuz Valve usually fixes Steam problems really fast. Vindekarr
I can't even get STEAM up, it just brings me to a login page, and when I try to log in, it brings up the message that it can't connect. They've had 29 hours to fix this, how much bloody longer do they bloody want? :nuke:
Vagrant0
Make sure that you don't have anything active that blocks p2p connections. Apparently steam uses those in one way or another. Might also want to try reinstalling steam, something might have gotten messed up with the new game you added.
bben46
Some ISPs may block p2p as thy have a mistaken idea that p2p is only used for illegal file downloading. At one time the movie anti pirate organization was trying to get all p2p made illegal because of this belief. Or maybe just because they are jerks. JimboUK
I've been having some connection issues as well, I wonder if the sale has overloaded it?
