I was able to start up Oblivion with all the mods i have, but once i go into new game and click yes. It goes into a loading screen and it was able to load 2/10 of the bar and suddenly it crashed with a error saying Oblivion has stopped working. I have tried disabling all my mods and still the same thing. I have used BOSS, Wrye Bash (Rebuild patch etc), TES4LODGEN and tried to load a saved game that is out of the sewers. it still gave me the same Crash

Anyone able to help me solve my problem? Is there conflicts in my mods that made it crash or something else?

you have a *.nif or slideshow file set to read only or system OS has secured the file so you don't have permission to run it best thing to do is go through all directories and look far a locked file, set the system view to see all hidden files every where. You may find it that way..

You have both Natural Weather esps active, This will cause CTDs on load. Disable either HD or normal res.

The Salmo the Baker esp causes CTDs on load for some setups, but it works fine for on others. If the above tip doesn't fix it, try deactivating Salmo.

I only glanced at the first bit of your LO, so there may be more issues. Read your BOSS log, it will warn you of problems like these.

A little further down;

Clocks of Cyrodill - Use only the Clocks BC,OBC.etc.. esp. The original reeds to be installed, but deactivated.

Ok, so i just finished reading your load order, and i admire your ambition. But i hope you have one hell of a machine, because you have a lot of really CPU intensive mods there. Especially if you also use Qarl's and OBGE.

While i have no experience with many of your mods, i can say that you should only have one of those Deadly Reflex esps active. And it should load last, before the bashed patch.

Also; there is a compatibility patch for UL Silverfish and Lost Spires.

If the game still crashes, try renaming tour Oblivion ini (with no mods active), then running the game by selecting "new", if it will run make sure to save a game. Then you can start reactivating mods.

Man, that's an impressive load list stuffed with almost everything prone to give compatibility problems and almost at the absolute maximum limit. It can be yet worsen if you have disabled ESPs in the data folder or even files that can be identified as ESP even if have the extension changed, like xyz.esp.bak with the esp part or otherwise. Still not enough, I saw sometimes ago a post that talked about the problem exist even if the ESP files are on another directory under the game's root folder.

you should begin by verifying if it's not the case. If so, try removing those disabled ESP, noticing if they come from mods which have more things, like textures and meshes... simply disabling or deleting it might be not enough. The problem extends yet more with mods where the "install" order is meaningful, because changing load order can be fatal in these cases (this is the typical case where a mod physically overwrites files from another).

That yours is not a simple problem which can be simply answered... you'll need to deal with too much troubles to filter all which might be a mess by now. If was with me this kind of problem, I would save that load list for reference and remove all the mods and reinstall everything again, caring to follow the nearest of perfect "install" order... for example, always installing patches first, and so on.

So, if after some attempts the issue is not going out... could indeed be a good idea saving/backup the OMOD folder, if exist... uninstalling the game afterward (and properly), deleting totally the /Oblivion folder (possibly even deleting the Oblivion folder on Documents too, caring to backup the saves first, of course) and finally installing it again, recovering the omod folder, reinstalling the mods, preferably one by one or in small batches, and finally trying the old saves again.

It's a hard task, I know, but can be the less laborious in the ultimate instance.

Create a new folder right there and move all the unused mods into it. leave only the base game files and run it if it does not run, you main file is corrupted from use, fragmented. an easy thing to be overlooked. The os does an inadequacy job of DE fragmentation, OOdefrag will repair all fragmented files. It is not a guarantee but it may solve your problem.

Troubleshooting help

Disabling (unchecking) mods does not uninstall them. The meshes and textures are still loaded.

Max hard coded mods allowed active 255 - However there is a little known second limit of about 400 mods allowed in the data folder. It seems that the game likes to read every mod in the data folder whether or not it is active - and crashes if there are too many. The Wrye Bash ghosting function removes any that are marked as not being used and fixes this - or just move any unused mods out of data.

Before reinstalling, try this

Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla game

If you do have to reinstall

Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the WIKI section of the Nexus

http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Oblivion_reinstall_procedure

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

thx guys, i am slowly reinstalling and finding the problem one mod by another and trying to see if i get any crashes from any of them.

ummm i got one more question for HGEC bbb and deadly reflex. i came across a problem i noticed. Deadly reflex told me to replace some HGEC bbb files like femalefoot.nif, etc.

what do i do? Do i keep the HGEC bbb ones or deadly reflex? Also i have the skeleton hotfix for both, but there is still others these both try to overwrite
