Ghogiel
Perhaps I misunderstand you. To me it seems you want me to choose a black and white, this or that answer to a very broad generalisation of a loosely outline concept, ie are politicians trying to manipulate people into thinking they are better then the opposition by spin, as a form of control, or are they intentionally doing it to create apathy in the system so people don't care, and perhaps hide their dirty laundry because of that. If that is correct, imo the 2 options given are both viable. And secondly, the thing about people at each other for what ever reason, is in another completely different realm, which is very broad, again, and I gave a broad scoped answer that made sense to me. you asked for peoples opinion. And then you throw the toys out the pram when you don't like the answer. Edited July 9, 2011 by Ghogiel

I have better things to do than reply to people trying to spin things to their favor I'd like anybody to go back from the beginning of your posts in the thread and show me where you answered anything. Then you posted "Ducking for cover" as an ending for one. You had no intent to do anything but be an antagonist and now you are trying to cover yourself with logic. It isn't like others can't read what you posted and make up their own minds.

Sync182
So...when do we get to see both Ghogiel and kvnchrist running for Parliament? So far as I can see they're both doing an awesome job of using misdirection (another great political tool) to blur the lines of debate. :-/ People tend to forget two things here: 1. This is a debate thread. If you open a thread, be prepared to see opinions you may not agree with. 2. One of the rules of this section of the forum is to stay on topic. If you're going to make a post on this section, try and keep your reply in line with the Original Post. That said: Deception is a tool used in both politics and business by people/parties/organisations to see their objectives are met. It is not a new trick - politicians in particular have been doing this for centuries. Edited July 9, 2011 by Sync182

It would be amusing if you could just say "I'm no longer responding to that line of argument in a thread that I started", but this forum doesn't work that way. If I could get a nickel for every spurious off tangential argument that went on endlessly in a thread that I began I'd be much richer now. If you start a thread it is deceptively duplicitous to stand above the fray and paste the dictionary as a shutdown counterargument ( see how I wove my post back into the topic?) instead of debating the merit or lack of merit of your opponents contention. Though in all fairness I must admit to being amused by both candidates, can't wait till they run for a seat.
kvnchrist
I'm glad you guys are so amused by this. I would ask you where he gave his opinion before I called him out but I know he gave none. I guess that escaped you.
Ghogiel
You can't ask questions anyway. because no one wants to go around and around with you in a nonsensical game of 500 questions.

Ghogiel
Which one? I'd point them out but there is no point, you don't actually answer any or seem to want to make any attempt to clarify what the hell you are on about.
