Kkorval
Hello everyone. Kkorval's the name, and gaming is....erm...my game. I'm from Washington State, a 44 year-old male, and have been a fan of the whole modding scene since Morrowind back in 2003. I've regularly visited the Nexus sites for years, but have never attempted to make myself known in the Forums, until now. The reason for my first post, besides the introduction, is to ask anyone this: If I am creating from scratch a retexture of the motorcycles for Fallout3/New Vegas, and I wanted to create (not using/copying the original works by another texture artist) entire retextures for the J3Xified Driveable Motorcycle mod, would I have to gain permission from the mod's author to post the files as the basic retextures, and not any part of the author's original mod? Like uploading ONLY the artwork I've done, each in separate folders, and NOT anything attached to the author's files? Here is a preview of my first:http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/3323/screenshot15.gif I've used the base Fallout3 texture, created 141 separate layers (about a month's work), and can now modify all the parts to whatever colour scheme/artwork I imagine (the basic mesh for the bike is flawed/rough in many areas, and has odd shadowing issues in strange places...:(...). Already have several types in the works, but the question I posted above was rambling inside my head. Once again, hello to you and happy modding! BlackRampage
Ah, a lurker coming out of the shadows? :) Anyway: Welcome! As for the retex: I'd contact the author the motorcycles mod to see if your retex could be incorporated into that mod. Would make for a great addition to a great mod.The retex itself looks very nice btw.
