* the lock with a yellow triangle and an info icon (i in a circle) are on the address bar for THIS web page.
* on mod pages there is no lock but an info icon when I mouse over it, it says "this website does not supply Identity information"
* I can see the main mod pages but I am unable to get a description, post ,images etc on the page - just displays an E.
*pressing the green download button gives me a white blank box with a title "an error occured"
*Within NMM 61,16 when I try to use endorse by pressing the green thumb it said can't find the ID on nexus.

Hope this helps.

You can solve it by adding "https://" before www.nexusmods.com/... in the address bar.

Yay!

The dreaded "E" when browsing tabs on mod pages, but nothing else out of the ordinary today.

Also comments are getting the "infinite loading" when sent on mod pages.

Hi! If you are currently experiencing issues with the site, please see: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/news/12780/

If you are recieving an "E" message when accessing file tabs, please replace "http" with "https" in your browser to correct the issue temporarily while we fix it.

If you are unable to download Nexus Mod Manager, please use this link for now: http://nmm.nexusmods.com/Releases/4.5/Nexus%20Mod%20Manager-0.61.18.exe

I was wondering what was going on when I tried to redownload a mod. Thanks for the tip, hope this issue won't last too long.

Dark0ne wrote: Hi folks,

Just a quick heads up that we're currently testing out the implementation of SSL security across the Nexus site (not the forums, yet).

The switch has been flicked and you should be seeing a nice padlock in your URL bar while browsing the site. Some pages aren't showing a green padlock yet due to links to the non-SSL side of the forums.

While initial testing has been positive, we'd appreciate it if you could let us know if you notice any errors, issues or anomalies browsing the site today as we cannot extensively test every single last nook and cranny of these sites as effectively as a few hundred thousand of you folks today!

Thanks for your time.

few minutes of 502 bad gateway. seems ok now.

Using "http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49756"

* the lock with a yellow triangle and an info icon (i in a circle) are on the address bar for THIS web page.
* on mod pages there is no lock but an info icon when I mouse over it, it says "this website does not supply Identity information"
* I can see the main mod pages but I am unable to get a description, post ,images etc on the page - just displays an E.
*pressing the green download button gives me a white blank box with a title "an error occured"

When I put an s like
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49756

the mod pages seem to work but now the lock icon has turned green but the triangle is still there. This may be because I use Avast virus scanner don't know.

Anyway NMM still has a problem with 'can't find the ID on nexus' and not sure but it is taking a long time to install a mod.

Hope this helps.

xybolt wrote: Since you're stepping over TLS/SSL, can you update your post so that other users would know a manual fix to solve their problem?

The problem is that if you visit a mod on nexus by HTTP, switching tab doesn't work because you get an "E" as result. (An error should be more meaningful ...) To solve this, the user has to ensure that he's visiting a mod over HTTPS

Example:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75175/? ==> will give "E" when switching tab. Fix it to

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75175/? ==> notice the addition of "s". This allows you to switch the tabs.

Or set up the routes that HTTP requests get redirected. (but i don't advise that).
Reason of the error: SOP restriction. The admins have to set up CORS header correctly to resolve this.

Tnx man , now I can download mods and continue to enjoy the game ! :D

Tried your site today and your transistion to a secure site is causing numerous problems. Running with ad-blocker disabled for the site causes an ssl certificate error to constantly pop-up; turning on ad-blocker no ssl certificate error pop-up. Getting same "E" on switching tabs; reload defaults to desc page. "Only secure content is displayed" notification constantly, Error on using back action. Navigation through content difficult at best.

I always try to browse your site with ad-blocker disabled first and only enable it when i encounter Ads with auto playing sound; I report the ad first then enable ad-blocker. The number of times that I have to do this is reducing in frequency and I thank you for that. I hope you get the issues resolved quickly.
