Shlomp
When there is no file, just create it in the same folder where the Creationkit.exe is located and do as I wrote before (: Here, this may help:https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/364039785169528302/#p2
skubblebubble
I'm going to be doing a full up RedRocket Nightclub Man...the red rocket is quickly becoming the new Goodsprings Saloon/Sleeping Giant Inn/Bannered Mare... Yep. And just as boring. A "Gentlemens" Nightclub. :P Since it's based on a service station, of course the club will be "full service" :)
TeamBacon
Also, remember to save early and save often. Don't go off spending 4 hours designing something just to have the Creation Kit crash and you lose all of your work. Same goes for any software, they all crash eventually. TeamBacon
The Creation Kit won't wreck your game just by using it. It isn't going to have any effect on your actual Fallout 4 game unless you run a file you made. So you can mess around in the Creation Kit all you want. mazakala
It seems that 1) as i remember F3 and FNV had tutorials for their CK, back in the day my pc wasnt good so i did not try using those CKs. But are there tutorials for F4's CK ? If not where can i expect to find some after a while? 2) Do i have any chances to learn to make a mod , even a simple one, without 3D modeling experience? for exemple if i want to create npcs, can i do that ith only the ck? 3) Is there a point of making a mod with vanilla assets? like say if i want to add quests and such ? and lastly 4) have you any advices of things NOT to do for starting modding? 1. Here on the Nexus and other modding sites, it seems posting tutorials to YouTube is also popular 2. Creating NPC's in the CK is currently bugged, as you can't see the changes you make to their appearance. This will probably get fixed, so technically yes. 3. Sure. Lots of great mods can be made with vanilla assets. 4. Huge quest mods. Start with something like "kill the raiders at X". I always start huge mods and never finish them. The most important step is learning Papyrus. If you can't script, you wont be able to make quests or anything even remotely interesting. Samurok
Thanks Mazakala for the infos ^^ do you have a site to recommend to learn papyrus? Also another question : my current fallout 4 uses about 80 mods without any conflict / ctd or heavy lags. but can i work on the ck with a modded fallout 4? or should i uninstall all mods properly, uninstall F4 then reinstall it on a vanilla state, copy all the F4 folder on another HD to have a "vanilla f4 " and a modded one? Ps : maybe i should mention i have some training with Ruby scripting ? (used mainly in rpg makers programs) so yeah i bet papyrus is a whole other league but who knows, maybe its at least a bit similar XD Edited April 29, 2016 by Samurok
