billyro
Try doing lots of push-ups or sit-ups. If I can't get to sleep I do about 30 push-ups and 100 sit-ups. Works well. (Also, making an excuse about your weight isn't an excuse.)

IndorilTheGreat
Read a book. That always helps me drift off. After about 30 or so minutes of reading, my eyes get relaxed enough to close of their own accord. I find that if I am viewing a screen right before I go to bed (i.e. a computer or a TV), I always end up tossing and turning for a minimum of 15 minutes. However, when I read a book, I drift off about 1-2 minutes after I close my eyes. Hope I helped. Cheers,IndorilTheGreat

Keanumoreira
if you are a guy, masturbation can helpthe male body releases endorphines that make men sleepy after finishing LOL...wow, a bold comment. Okay...I'm not going to say whether or not I practice this-as that is personal information no one but me needs to know or wants to hear for that matter-, I actually do agree here. I know people who are doctors who say this is a way for the male to balance his emotions and helps with self-esteem, which, in turn, makes for some goodnight snoozing. ub3rman123
Well, I've learned from trial and error some things that do not work. - Listening to Led Zeppelin cranked up to 11 (Actually, something like All My Love is okay, but not Black Dog or Immigrant Song)- Drinking a large amount of caffeinated beverage- Watching anything with Bruce Willis (Especially Die Hard)- Primal screaming session- Finding work to do, because then you'll be wide awake for the rest of the night working on it.- Playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent- Watching horror movies- Going on a twenty minute run

Deleted472477User
I'll sometimes take chamomile tea, valerian tablets work well too. If you have a health food place like whole Foods near you, check it out. Sometime the mainstream grocery stores have them, too.
