dragonbird
Curious to know what others have, especially as there are so many paths I've probably missed some. These were the things that make this a truly memorable game. The LOL moment - the end of the Visionary's quest (if you're a cheapskate), The WTF moment - asking the assistant quartermaster why he's so glum The cringe moment - can't decide between Hung Over and Odrin. At least the passers-by didn't comment on either of these quests. The "OMG OMG OMG I'm going to die" moment - The Operator. Definitely. And I was right. 16 times so far. The "reach for the hankie" moment - Cedric. The "Well, I didn't expect THAT!" moment - why the dwarves think Geralt is a truly chivalrous knight, with the discussion between Saskia and Geralt about Iorveth in second place. Corlan
The LOL moment - Philippa Eilheart's quarters, when she's healing Saskia, Cecil says "My favorite type of Magic... Lesbomancy!", Honorable mentions : Yarpen Zigrin's "Prince Penis", Yarpen at the War Council, Geralt's face when hearing the mouns in front of Philippa's quarters before walking in, Geralt's respond when Dandelion walks in the Succubi's lair(Awesome game is Awesome) The WTF moment - Finding that skinny ugly hobo on Dethmold's bed when Dethmold's wearing Make-up, and then the "Pants off" The Cringe Moment - For me, the Hundred ploughing times walking peacefully in Flotsam forest when a trap decides to bite you and an "Argh" out of nowhere. The OMG OMG OMG I'm going to die moment - When Vandergrift slew his stand-bearer. The reach for hankie moment - The end, the bug flying off Geralts hand.(It would be Cedric if not for one of my stupid friends stupid jokes at the exact moment) The Well, I didn't expect THAT moment - Normal Version : Saskia in the Dungeons. The Well, I didn't expect THAT moment - Sarcastic : Iorveth coming back, although that didn't make me be in any less state of Awe.
dragonbird
Oh yes, Geralt's response when Dandelion walks into the succubi's lair is definitely a great LOL moment. On the sex scenes, the "Meanwhile, up on the surface..." cutscene in Rose of Remembrance definitely deserves an honourable mention too. The expression on the dwarf's face is hilarious. LenSquig
The LOL moment - Geralt telling Odrin to stop f*cking around everytime Odrin would roll around on the ground yelling about bats. The WTF moment - Phillipa suddenly turning into an owl and escaping when we reached her dagger chest (wasn't she supposed to be blind after the spoon-in-the-eyes treatment?) The cringe moment - When Roche castrates then slashes Dethmold's throat. The "OMG OMG OMG I'm going to die" moment - Elemental suddenly appearing and running Geralt over like a mack truck and taking 99% life in 1 sec, when getting the dagger from Phillipas Chest. The "reach for the hankie" moment - After Geralt killed the dragon. The "Well, I didn't expect THAT!" moment - Saskia admiting she is attracted to the dwarven men. dragonbird
We all seem to be agreeing on our surprise at Saskia's preferences :) Maybe she's done a bit of cross-culture travelling in her life, and met DA2's Varric in Kirkwall. The Witcher 2 dwarves may be funny and sweet, but "sexy" isn't very high on my list of adjectives to describe them. And have we ever actually seen a female dwarf? Or are they bearded and identical to the males, like the ones in Terry Pratchett's Discworld?
swordsman5
The Gospel according to Pratchett leads you to the conclusion the the female dwarves should be the ones armed with that most horrendous weapon of war...... Dwarven Bread.
LenSquig
Some women are attracted to opposites.. she is 40 foot long fire breathing lizard with a Joan of Arc complex... dwarven men are 4 foot tall fun loving guys, real salt of the earth types. Don't forget Saskia can change her shape, she choose the sexy human woman look because it inspired her troops and supporters, but she could just as easily change it to "desirable dwarf woman" behind closed doors. Poor Iorveth, he doesnt stand a chance catching Saskia's eye, he doesnt even faintly resemble a dwarf *giggles* Since Zoltan Chivay's ex-future-father-in-law broke off the engagement for his daughter, Zoltan is on the open market again... and he is a general working for Saskia... they are going to be working closely together in the future ... maybe a lot more closely ... *naughty giggles* What do Dwarven women look like? I can only think of 2 examples. One is the stone statues of a naked female dwarf you see around Verden and the crypt. the other is the sign for the Inn in Verden. Neither are depected with beards, but they both have huge (o)(o) that would make Dolly Parton proud. The dwarven men seem intensely possive and protective of their ladies, they may have evacuated all their women (and children) to Mahakam. dragonbird
Ah now, Saskia and Zoltan. That would be a perfect match. But I think she says she can only change into one human shape, so he may not find her attractive. That would be a sad love triangle - Iorveth making puppy-dog eyes at Saskia, Saskia hopelessly in love with Zoltan, and Zoltan just looking for a nice Mahakaman lady with big (o)(o)
dragonbird
Soooo... Has anyone finished A Sackful of Fluff yet? I may need to change several of my votes from my original post.
BarefootWarrior
Nope, just got into chapter 2, arrived at the Inn I just found one of my LOL moments: Dwarf at the table; ' LOOK! Another one! I You let one human in and then next thing ya know...ya gotta a swarm!' Edited July 25, 2011 by BarefootWarrior
