Guest deleted34438890
Great! So long as the advertisments are professional and not those obnoxious "OPRAH WAS LYING ALL ALONG, ALIENS ARE REAL AND CAN CURE YOUR FRENCH WRINKLES FAST!!!!@#!#!@R$%@" clickbait viruses, I'll definitely disable my adblocker come then. As long as there isn't ads that play music randomly, I will turn my ad blocker off. I hate s#*! that plays in the background. If I forget to close a nexus tab. I don't know if it's flash or what, but the site causes my browser to "lock up". If I close the tab Nexus is loaded in, eventually the browser recovers and I can resume whatever I was doing again.I suspected it was/is the ads, but it's difficult for me to know for sure with my own means. Curious to see how this all pans out. I do have adblocker turned off btw.^^ This. This also happens to me. I understand the Nexus's need for Ad Revenue but there are times that my browser locks up as well. Doesn't matter if its Edge, Firefox or Chrome, the scripts for the ads just wreck my performance and I struggle to browse the nexus most of the time.Cant wait to see if this new provider is better. croc123
Something that hasn't happened to me on the Nexus has now happened: Your site (probably your ad provider) is requesting me to log into google user content. Specifically, I am getting this warning from the EFF's Privacy Badger application when going to 'Emergent Design Curie V2'. "Logging into Google User Content can allow it to track you around the web." Emergent design's URL: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6522/? Not much of a worry to me, but it is a rather sneaky way to plant a rather permanent cookie. Hope for all our sanity that the next provider is better. As a result, even if you NEVER click an ad or interact with them in any way, shape or form, simply the fact it was shown generates an ad view which is paid for.thanks for replying. I'll deactivate adblock plus saturday, then.
bobbinarminas
You know, I installed an adblocker specifically because of auto-audio/video ads, popups, and malware injection (is that the proper term?). I disabled it for your site, because I trust Nexus and I support what you do. I may be unable to justify spending money on supporting you directly, but I can at the least do so indirectly by allowing your ads to show. And this right here is why I like you folks. The willingness to actually look into something like this, and switch providers if needed, even if you might take a hit on your revenue. Thanks, Nexus. Keep on keepin' on. Crowbar01
Good to see you looking out for the users rather than the bottom line. Too many websites don't care what ads cycle through their site as long as they get a pay, and if a user cops malware, hey, not their problem. Much props to you, D0
