Do you run uBlock Origin? It removes clunky stuff other than ads.
bben46
If you are a supporter or premium and are still seeing ads. They are NOT from Nexus. You have been hijacked by an ad stealing application. Many of these can be cleaned using the FREE JRT program from Malwarebytes. It runs fast and is from a well respected and ligit anti-malware company. Be sure to get it from the official site here: https://www.malwarebytes.com/junkwareremovaltool/ It does not replace your anti virus and does not run in background or stay in memory. Deleted3897072User
I'm continually getting browser lock-ups from the ads. The problem is that many of the ads run scripts that pull in content from 3rd-party sites that in turn pull in content from other sites and so on. It only takes one server in the chain to fail to respond and Firefox freezes. I can't flag the particular ads that cause it because Firefox has frozen ... Turning on adblocker is the only way I can access Nexus long enough to post this message ...
4EverLol4Life
I left adblock off for a while on this site and have now enabled it again. I often get auto-playing videos, after every video that finishes it starts another one. I once left a page open because I quickly needed to help somebody and the page kept loading other video ads. These add up over time, it would be a lot better if they do NOT auto-play. I went over my daily limit of bandwidth that I should stick to solely because of the auto-playing videos... Habbo67
I'm getting an porn ad that just redirect me after a certain time on the nexusThe funniest part is that I'm obligated to close the tabs because these f*ckers just reload and reload the page infinitely. It happen only on the nexus, so no it's not caused by a malware/virus on my PC I would like to let adblock off on the nexus, but I'm getting more pissed when it happenSo first I will try to find the ad that cause the redirection
Valtyr06
I turned off my adblocker for this site so that I would be able help support Nexus in a small way, but I have been forced to re-enable it. I have been getting auto playing ads (audio) which sometimes you can't even see the add. So I have no idea which tab it is coming from. But the worse thing, is that is slows down the loading of pages DRASTICALLY. Like.. unbearably slow. And I have 400Mbps internet. It will also crash my browsers from time to time. I use Chrome and Waterfox (64bit FF) on WIn 10 Pro. Both have the same issues. I would love to disable my adblock again, but not at the expense of being able to actually use the site. I hope you guys are looking into this and what kind of ads are being allowed to run. They should not slow down page loading or run heavy scripts. And especially no auto play. I'll check back again to see if there's been an update on this front

bben46
That is a ligit link. I have been using it for quite a while. The main Malwarebytes site I found is a .com and not a .orgWhen I typed in Malwarebytes.org - I was redirected to Malwarebytes.com My guess is MalwareBytes owns both the .com and .org The Link is a direct link to JRT which is owned by Malwarebytes.JRT is not (yet) a part of the main Malwarebytes program, although I suspect it will eventually be incorporated.
