AdamNeko
* With Orange Squadron still completely intact, Adam Neko takes lead and relays to the elite fighter squadron Peregrine's new orders. With a burst of astounding speed, all the fighters head towards Armiena's fleet. Upon reaching the target, all fighters begin their assault on the fleet. (I dunno if Orange Squadron can destroy that Death Star wannabe, but we can sure as heck try. ) From inside his cockpit, Adam Neko unleashes one sole battle cry. * "LET'S ROCK!" Mojlnir
Reaching the silver tower, Mojlnir enters and takes the elevator to the penthouse. He is surprised to discover that the tower, just like the surrounding forest, smells faintly of breakfast cereal. This is not an unpleasnt smell, but admittedly not one the Mojlnir had expected in the Great Hereafter. Entering the penthouse, Mojlnir realizes why the place was vaguely familiar, because standing in a corner, covered with dust, is his trusty old Purg-a-tron typewriter. And there, looking extremely relaxed and slightly intoxicated is Ancalagon, his feet on the coffee table and ROTK playing on the giant Dragonvision Flat-Panel Ultra-High Definition television. Smiling slightly and nodding, Mojlnir walks over to the Purg-a-tron, picks it up and walking out onto the balcony, hurls it off the tower and watches as it smashes upon the ice far below. That task completed to satisfaction, Mojlnir helps himself to a cold Corona from the fridge, and clapping Ancalagon on the shoulder, settles down in the couch next to him and props his feet on the giant ice coffee table. "Should've know I'd find you behind all this. Nice place you got here, though I must say I miss the floating bit we going in Purgatory. Oh, just out of curiousity, what's with the cereal smell?" Ancalagon
*His eyes, once again, piercing suns, nebulae, and planets, Ancalagon rests his gaze upon the ensuing destruction of Armenia's fleet. He smiles sadly to himself, 'That all must walk down the same path as I, so we may...' *Something or someone catches his attention, not only does he sense the absence of Pack Rat, but also Shin as well in the Mortal realms. 'Armenia's time hasn't come yet, nor shall she ever pass unto the Blessed realm, it is not her fate. Nevertheless...' *He stands up from his dais and walks down the snow-white marble steps to where a large horn made of pure ice rest upon a silver pedestal. He pauses for a moment, then raises the Horn to his lips and winds it long and hard. A deep, pure note comes from the horn, reverberating across the lands and rolling across the mountains, deep into the valleys and echoing through the boughs of the snow covered forests. The note fades of into the distance, and for a while there is silence. Rising from the vast mountains, the deep valleys, and the great forests comes an enormous host of white dragons, all speeding towards the White Tower. *Before him lands his Lieutenant Narcalya, who brings him word of Mojlnir and his journey towards this place. He gives Narcalya one order: 'Find my Children, time does not pass in this Guarded Realm where the Gods dwell, I sense much time has passed in the outside realms. I bid thee to do this, bring unto me the Children that I had lost so long ago, bring them here so that they may yet live in peace, for a while. I fear Peregrines wing shall grow to cover the Other Realms and Universes and someday... Nontheless, deliver unto me my Children!' *That being said, Narcalya nods and leaps into the air. The Dragons wheel about the Tower for a moment, then they turn into bright points of light and streak off in different directions...searching the many Other Realms for the Children of Ancalagon... *Ancalagon, looks back out across the lands, sensing that Mojlnir is behind him speaking, he throws a snowball at him and smiles. He then returns to the top of his dais and starts to informMojlnir on everything.
Peregrine
Colony m249x1, Defense Fleet: Crusade + 24:15 Days The proximity alarm shattered the silence of the command ship's bridge. As officers dived for their stations, it was already too late. The pair of incoming battlecruisers that had set off those alarms had already fired. Only 136 missiles this time, but more than enough to destroy the light cruisers of the defense fleet. As the anti-snow warheads erased their targets from the universe, the battlecruisers rolled and began firing at the gun batteries on the planet's surface. As the last of those joined the cruisers in death, six heavy freighters dropped out of hyperspace. Onboard was an invasion army, and perhaps more frighteningly, a group of Peregrinist priests, their duty to "enlighten" the population below, or send them to their afterlife if they refused. BC-G Longbow, hyperspace: Crusade +24:16 Days As Peregrine watched the reports coming in, an evil looking smile appeared on his face (or its bird equivalent). The attack on Colony m249x1 had been repeated all across Armenia's territory, dozens of outposts either dead or converted. But now, greater things demanded his attention. If Adam Neko's attack had gone as planned, the attack fleet following him through hyperspace should be enough ensure Armenia's final defeat. Malchik
Malchik sees what is taking place in the heads of all the other players in the snow arena. His fleas have done such a good job that none of them realise it is all taking place in their imaginations. "And you all think you can be masters of the multiverse." This is a very amusing notion. Malchik, the true master of everything, does not worry about their little ambitions. He zooms back down to hell since the entertainment is a lot hotter there. Then he sends out his fleas. "Make all their daydreams become nightmares! Don't spare any of them!" Life is soooo good!
Peregrine
<ooc: Did you even read my last post, Pack Rat? You are dead, and Mars II is ruined! I mean, if you're going to revive yourself, at least take the time to explain it!> BC-G Longbow, Hyperspace: Crusade +25:05 Days The reports of Pack Rat's survival did not amuse Peregrine. Sick of the annoying Rat, Peregrine summoned six mile wide anti-snowballs. A wave of his wing teleported them into the centers of Neptune II, Mercury II, Jupiter II, Saturn II, Mars II, and Sun II. The results were every bit as impressive as he'd hoped for: five planets and a star disapeared from the universe in bright flashes. Then, almost as overkill, the shockwave from the exploding sun smashed what little remained of the system to dust. When the explosions faded away, no two atoms of Pack Rat remained connected. Earth, Armenia's Flagship: Crusade +25:05 Days Though Adam Neko's fighters still swarmed the fleet, the battle seemed to be going well. On the bridge of Armenia's flagship, the mood was optimistic. Finally, the fighters broke off the attack and ran for the hyper limit. Behind them, the ships of the defending fleet turned to follow. Earth, Hyper Limit: Crusade +25:06 Days Reality shattered and the eight battlecruisers and four assault carriers of Peregrine's strike fleet appeared in the path of Armenia's captial ships. As the defenders turned in a frantic evasion attempt, the Peregrine's towed pods launched their missile loads, followed by a full salvo from the battlecruisers' internal launchers. A massive wave of missiles slammed into the defending fleet, shattering ship after ship. As the dying ships scattered, trying desperately to get out of the trap, the carriers launched their bomber strikes. The remaining ships could do little to stop their death, and within 15 minuites all of Armenia's fleet was either dead or captured. But the battlecruisers, their initial salvo fired, ignored that battle. Instead, they headed directly for Earth II. As they passed the planet on their way to the hyper point on the other side, they emptied their missile loads into the planet. Cities died and anti-snow detonations reduced the surface to a glass plain. But attack angles limited the damage, and to Peregrine's annoyance, almost half the planet's unbelievers escaped his divine wrath. But no more missiles remained, and the battlecruisers once again reentered hyperspace, followed soon after by the carriers.
Malchik
Sadly for him Peregrine has not escaped the attack of Malchik's fleas. In a fury of scratching he orders every vessel, ship, pod and resurrect machine in his fleet and all friendly fleets to self destruct. This they do - the big bang theory. Peregrine now exists as millions of tiny particles scattered through the multiverse. It might take him a little time to get himself back together but one can be sure he will. Peregrine
<ooc: I'm off on a two week "vacation" away from regular internet access. So I'm out of the story for now... but be warned, Peregrine will be back... and then you will know a real war!> Author's note: The following events are based on fragments of stories and rumors. No direct witness exists to the end of the story of the First Age of Peregrine. The Book of Malchik contradicts these final events, but I believe this to be the true end of the First Age. The Book of Endings, Chapter VIIIAnd it was written that in the thousandth year of the snow wars, the god Peregrine would return and judge the universe. And all who defied his power would be damned, and all those who worshiped him would join him in a new age. The return of Peregrine would herald the greatest war the universe would ever know, followed by a million years of peace under his glorious rule. But now, we await the second coming of Peregrine. We are faithful. BC-G Longbow, Antares Rift: Crusade +27:18 Days The tiring duties of godhood had finally caught up with Peregrine. He sensed the war could not be won, not at this time. The universe was not ready for his plan. Only death could result, and he would rule an empty wasteland. So he must wait. Someday the time would be right, and he would return to the universe. Someday.... The new ship in Peregrine's fleet activated its special systems. A stasis field surrounded the fleet, stopping all time. Inside, nothing from the outside world could have any effect. The fleet inside sat frozen in time, awaiting the day when its purpose would be fulfilled. It was in this state that the Wrath of Malchik came for Peregrine. But inside, Peregrine survived. Isolated from the universe, but very much alive.
