A burden problem in my inventory

Hello everybody!

 

Here is my problem: even when my female bosmer"'s inventory gets empty the PC shows a carried weight of 150. I guess it comes from the Ring of Burden of the Cheydinhal recommandation but how can I solve it?

 

I'm not at ease with the TESCS and the other scripting tools.

I got rid of it once I finished the quest.

I use a mod to wear as many rings as I want and I enchanted them with a feather effect to wait.

And how many rings does your character currently use? Because with plenty of adding effects, in an area where the character isn't supposed to have more than two rings, you could have caused issues.

6 at the maximum but as I previously wrote "even when my female bosmer's inventory gets empty the PC shows a carried weight of 150" otherly said: it doesn't come from the other rings.

 

Until recently I always played with the god mode to carry all my stuff so I didn't realise the burden glitch. Maybe something came wrong after I finished the Cheydinhal recommandation quest.

Have you also reset your character's attributes, at all? Raised strength, etc? Console stuff over time can mess you up. The commands are very useful, but as Bethsoft points out, you use them at your own discretion.

 

Try this: remove everything from your character in one inside area. (Yes, clothes, rings, everything last thing.) Go to another inside area, that has to be loaded separately. Save, exit the game. Reload that last save, and see if that helped.

It didn't work as I expected.

 

My burden came to 138 and my maximum weight to 638.

And did you change your strength via the console at any time?

Save your game first, then find a safe container somewhere and click on it. Note the RefID number. Let us pretend that the number is 787878, now open up the console and type:

 

player.removeallitems 787878 1

 

Now stand right next to the container (or anything that you can click on and stand right up against) and type:

 

cast 177204 player

 

What are your stats now?

I am having the same problem with 144 pounds in my inventory even when nothing within it. I have been looking up and down for some kind of fix.

 

I have found one possible fix which is through CS. For me it is a complicated method since it involves knowing what item is causing this and starting from there. I have no clue what is causing this so... Plus I am simply not fond of playing with CS.

 

The next fix, which is not perfect, is using the unofficial patch. If you have installed it then there will be a key in your inventory labeled unofficial patch. It is labeled as a key but will be in the misc. section of your inventory.

 

Click on this and exit your inventory. A menu will pop up with various options. One option will be to fix broken stats, the following menu from this will show attributes as well as encumbrance. Click on encumbrance and after a few seconds your max carry weight will be offset, for me at least, by the amount of the extra weight you are carrying.

 

Remember to place everything you can drop within a chest before doing this. You will get a warning about this before doing so as well.

 

In the end your inventory, if this works, will still show that extra 150 pounds you are carrying but will also up the max amount you can carry by the same number without altering your stats.
