freadam
So the thing is that I try to load a save, but it just keeps loading infinitly (auto, quick saves also). At first (few days ago) I could load just fine, but since yesterday I have this problem. After some googling, I found out that my saved game could be corrupted and all lost :( . But I have been able to play a few times since the problem so I don't think it's corrupted. Also I have a few mods, but turning those of didn't do anything. So most of the time I get infinite loading and sometimes I can play, so my guess is that it is some setting somewhere.
cptcairney
Still your load order would help or just mods you've been using, just because you deactivate them doesn't mean there not fully functioning, meshes, textures and sounds and menus can still affect game play even without the active esp or esm loaded.Have you had any succession in playing or is it not working at all ? by that I mean loading up your save game, its most likely you have had a mod active once, disabled it, and tried to load the game with an altered object such as a weapon that hasn't got the esp or esm active for it anymore, had this corrupt my own saves before, modifed weapons causing the pip boy to crash when browsing etc, due to the weapons, armor from previous mods still being there. nosisab
Typical deadlock, probably caused due to load order change. Supposing you tried BOSS already and REMADE the wrye patch the simpler approach is uninstalling the mods you deem suspect of conflicting with another. I mean complete uninstall, removing all files related to it. Notice this may left another mod orphaned if both physically overwrite common files, in that case the remaining mod must be reinstalled. Once the mod is removed (one at a time) try to load the game, at some point you should succeed, save the game in a new slot and proceed reinstalling the removed mod. Do load order correction NOW so you enter the game with everything in order. Being methodical, doing only one change at a time and testing, repeat calmly and hopefully the issue can be corrected. Although hard work this is a securer procedure than trying some automatic save clean if this last is possible at all. PS: I'm supposing you use Wrye's and BOSS (if not, download them ASAP) and you MUST remake the bashed patch at every stage, do not skip this step. phoneyLogic
This seems to be a bug introduced with patch 1.4.http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1208859-endless-loading-screen/ Try loading an older save game first, then load your recent save. freadam
So it must be mod related then. Gonna check that. Funny thing is, it's been working today. But I can expect the infinite load at any time. EDIT: Remove all traces of mods and still infinite load. So can somebody explain me how those wrye's and boss work (and what it does)? phoneyLogic
The infinite loading bug can also happen to a vanilla, unmodded game.Even if your load order is correct. Did you load an older save, then the recent? The save you load first should be round about 3 cells away. Does it work? Post your load order. freadam
So I loaded my oldest save. It worked, but that's strange because I've tried to load older saves before and that didn't work. Or the game just decided to work again lol. Like I said, sometimes the save loades and sometimes it doesn't. Also what's those 3 cells you speak of? Don't know much about mods. EDIT: I've found the load order sorting tool to check my loading order but it says can't find settings.ini which folder should I select? phoneyLogic
I have an infinite loading bug since patch 1.4.Even though I started a new game without mods. The loading bug just happenes frequently. The only way to fix that is to load a save game which is a little away from my current position.3 Cells away just means a certain distance so to speak. After that successfully loaded, I load the recent save game which didn't work, now it does. So to me there seems to be a bug which causes certain saves not to load directly. Dunno if this is your problem, but it could help if you post some information, like What is your patch version? What is your operating system?Which mods, what load order? Editmy system for example SystemCPU: Intel Core i7-2600KGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (latest driver)RAM: 8 GBOS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1 Load Order (made by FOMM)FalloutNV.esmCaravanPack.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esm Total active plugins: 4Total plugins: 4 Edited August 20, 2011 by tortured Tomato
freadam
Yeah that seems to work, but if it's a save too close I get infinite load. Guess I'll get to do it that way. So everybody's having this problem... Any outlook on a possible fix or patch for this? And I would like to thank everyone for the info, thanks! phoneyLogic
So everybody's having this problem... Don't know, apparently not. That's why it would be helpful if you post your system specs. So we might find a common hardware set or whatever.
