Illiad86
They are talking about it being pretty ugly...called for mandatory evacuations in New York City...which is a first. Winds are supposed to be pretty nuts by the time it hits there. http://image.weather.com/images/maps/tropical/map_tropprjpath09_ltst_5nhato_enus_600x405.jpg If any of you are in the path of the storm, stay safe! Keanumoreira
Yep...they told them. They told them a hurricane would one day hit New York City and the people refused to listen. Okay...so it was a tropical storm, but still, that should be a real eyeopener. It is with my best wishes that the Big Apple wake up and start preparing, because if they don't, then one of these days, a hurricane will take a big bite out of them. They're lucky they dogged this bullet. Edited August 28, 2011 by Keanumoreira
Deleted1744345User
I had my power go out for about 12 hours because of this blasted hurricane. I got quite a lot of rain since I live in eastern PA, but not as much wind as there was projected to be. Meanwhile, people are going back outside like nothing happened, when they have been clearly warned to stay inside until this blows over. It won't be my problem if they get hurt, though. Thor.
Its clear and sunny here, YAY for the jet stream. Hopefully if it ever comes are way it will only be a small storm, unlike the epic ones we've been getting lately. Edited August 28, 2011 by Thor. RZ1029
In other news, I've had some of the best, clearest, coolest weather all summer. Too bad that'll be over in a day or two.
