Thinking of Being a Modder.

Hey guys I'm new to modding but I just fell in love with the creativity people have for this.

I got motivates to start making my own mods. It's pretty hard. So if anyone is willing to give me a hand like about software and stuff it'd be great. Fallout and Skyrim mainly.

I mod skyrim. If you don't have skyrim creation kit, then you're going to need to download that. I make mods with just the creation kit, but if you want to make your own models to put in game then you're going to need Blender or 3Ds max. If you need any help using skyrim creation kit, I can help, but I've never modded fallout and I don't know how to do anything with blender, so really I can only help you with the CK.

Start simple and don't get too ambitious too early. Got any mods you like but feel they could be improved/don't like an aspect and like to change it? Thats how most people start I think and it it'll give you idea of how they work. its also fairly straightforward to modify this or that of an existing work, its a whole quantum leap of complexity to create something entirely new from scatch. Get some practise in first and get a feel of how things are done before striking out in your own direction. You'll find that a much easier approach.

I think that you need something like 500 posts in order to rename your status.

Post this on the Fallout 4 modding page. You will have a better chance of getting a viable answer.

That title also dynamically changes the more posts you have. Like to "Regular" or "Old-Hand". Just keep posting and you'll evolve from Stranger to something else. And like Rabbit said, you post x-amount then you can change it to whatever you want.

Edit: I can only assume that Rabbits estimate on the 500 is correct, as I just realized I could change mine and I passed the 500 threshold quite a while ago.
