cancausecancer
I'm curious...if I could tap into the mind of a anime fan like yourself...why are you so interested in turning a beautiful game with its own lore into "another Japanese game" with extremely huge swords and other crazy anime stuff? I theorize it's because they have really good imaginations so if something like a blue Yoshi runs across the mojave in front of them it just makes sense. Some of us need realism to suspend disbelief and others may be not so much.
theenemywithin9
I'm curious...if I could tap into the mind of a anime fan like yourself...why are you so interested in turning a beautiful game with its own lore into "another Japanese game" with extremely huge swords and other crazy anime stuff? Isn't the point of modding to change things about the game to make it better? If you like giant swords and scythe weapons and spiky armor then these additions are a no-brainer. I gotta go with Alcrin on this one, while I'm not the greatest advocate of over stylised anime weapons/clothing etc, but modding is a very personal and fun thing, if you want your char to have crazy anime weapons and hair, then why not? XD The way I always see the spirit of modding is, you play a game and if at any time you think "man this would be better if I could -do X- or -had item y-" then you should go forth and try make it! :) People trying out modding also has the positive effect of making them realise just how difficult making/editing games is...which has the effect of reducing the number of people who complain about why the game doesn't have "X" feature, or is only "Y" long etc...which is always a good thing in my opinion XD
MrSeptim
Maybe a real old viking sword like this: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s57/larson1988/imagesqtbnANd9GcRuWISctmdaDCdGi-AwNuDZVUCtkxeIrSIM2dOJK08jEMALWWdv.jpg :D

XD or just a realistic viking sword?

LeopoldCrank
I have to agree with theenemywithin9. I bet anyone who ever complained about Oblivion or Morrowind had never tried to make a mod bigger than placing a pre-made house template on the beach head north of the Imperial City (my first mod. Thank you UESP tutorial :D). If everyone had a go, first off we'd have plenty of great mods, and secondly there would be much less people complaining about the game. I guarantee that Skyrim will come out, and someone will kick up a stink on the forums because thee is some feature they were expecting not in there, and then they will never even attempt to fix it themselves. I remember in Oblivion, whenever I ran into bugs, I'd take a screenshot of the thing and my map, write a note in my small pocket book and then I'd fix it before I started playing it the next day. I find it annoying when others complain but refuse to find ways to help themselves, or at least realise that such a bug must be in there for a reason (eg. Hard to fix, unnoticeable [or according to Pete Hines, fun :P ] etc.)
Ghogiel
I'm all out of complaints about oblivion I'm afraid. I've already posted them all on the forums over the years. You can guarantee I will kick up a stink on the forums about some features in Skyrim, and depending on what it is I probably won't fix it. I'll leave that for the pros. 8) Edited September 9, 2011 by Ghogiel
Alcrin
Moar inspiration time! This is a real Native American (specifically, Tsimshan) staff. While it wasn't used for magical ceremonies, it still looks pretty cool.
gretzky99
Since I am tired of way too many magical weapons, etc....I would really like just a ton of new BLAND, BORING, EVERYDAY weapons added to lists.
Deleted472477User
I'd like to see old school daedra added back in. They looked awesome in Morrowind, but they've been progressively worse. I can't take flame atronachs in Oblivion seriously. They looked bad-ass in Morrowind, in Oblivion they look like little girls. Frost Atronachs are awesome in Morrowind; in Oblivion they look like walking icicles. And don't get me started on the one in the Skyrim video. It looks lkike a cross between a mirelurk and an ice cube. Bah. And dremora in Morrowind? Badass. Oblivion? Darth Maul with a skin condition. The other Daedra look fine.
