U.S got Saddam

umm yeah i think the only way that you could find him innocent is if you were the most ignorant person on the planet and you didn't listen to witnesses. I think it's better to leave the issue of his guilt out of this. Just debate on wether it's really him or not. And yeah, I think that thay finally got him. Either that or they cloned him. I call it a 50/50 chance.

Or make that a 100%/0% chance if cloning's your only explanation. Even if it were possible, the clone would have had to be created at the same time as the real thing for the age to match.

As for my opinion? It's him. If all the tests they're putting this through say it's him, what other choice is there?

It will be interesting to see if he can lead us to any concealed WMD. What would Bushie do if they can't find anything even after catching Saddam? Can we spell false pretenses? My prediction is that if there are no new discoveries of cached WMD within the next couple of weeks, people are going to start getting royally peaved.

no its not that i think he's inoccent i think he's guilty,

but i also heard that the U.S government was going to give him back to the iraqi people to be put in jail there, i doubt wheter that's going to happen or not.

when they found him there were no WMD but they did find him with $750,000 now why would he need all that money?

Its not that they found him with WMD, but whether or not he can give the locations of any caches. They have captured pretty much everyone else who had any contact with the WMD programs and they have all claimed that the program was dismantled after the Gulf War and that UN inspections did in fact keep the programs from being restarted. Unless Saddam was out in the desert burying the WMD with a shovel all by himself, I don't think we'll see much come of this. I may of course be wrong, there is no way to know at this point.

As for Saddam's fate, the last I heard was that he will stand trial for war crimes. It is my understanding, at least at this point, that he will be tried in Iraq before the tribunnal being set up there to try members of the regime. Saddam has, however, escaped from prison before and is an exteremly willy and dangerous individual. I will not rule out the possibility that Saddam will escape, or at the least, manage to avoid a death sentence.

Death penalty but i thought that was illegal in most(i use that term loosely) parts of U.S.....and if not kill him in us then raq but i believe he has many followers not that his capture will make any difference. There was some kind of suicide bomb a few hours after news had come that he had been caught.
