Deleted472477User
I need some advice on some mods to make it interesting again. I already have body and race mods that I like, and more clothing mods than I can shake a Daedric staff at. I tried Nehrim, and while it's incredible work I just couldn't get into it. When advising, please note my system can barely handle oblivion on medium settings, I can't make OBSE or wrye bash work to save my life, and throwing in MOAR MONSTERZ! isn't the answer for me, either. So I guess what I am wanting are quests, new locations, companions etc. I know Skyrim is coming, but I am at least 6 months to a year behind everyone on this because I am needing a new computer for it. I want the PC version because I really enjoy mods. I can't do OBSE stuff, guys. I can't make it work; my computer hates it. Please, no OBSE mods. Faceshifter
The Sundered Keep, fun quest, original.Shezries Towns, Pell's Gate is interesting enough to keep you going for a week.Ruined Tail's Tale, it's been an age since I've played that, but it had a good story and a companion. Can't do Shezrie's. As I mentioned, I can't make OBSE work, and it requires OBSE. I can't seem to find The Sundered Keep anywhere. I will check out ruined Tail though, thanks :) Edited September 10, 2011 by nyxalinth
InAComaDial999
There are quite a few really good Big Quest Mods out there that add tons of replay value to the game. My current character is level 27, and the only big vanilla quest she's done was to complete the Mage's Guild questline. A good chunk of her adventuring has been from third-party mods, including: Frostcrag Village: a nice series of smaller quests in this oneFeldscar: same as aboveThe Lost Spires: bigger than most of the vanilla questlinesZira's Demonic Mounts: Not really a big questline, but plenty violent and lots of funThe Ayleid Steps: Just started this one, interesting so far Also, I didn't do it with this character since I haven't even touched the main quest with her, but I played Kvatch Rebuilt with my previous character, that was also a great time. One question though: what problem are you having with OBSE? You're really going to need that to run most quest mods, if nothing else just so you can run Elys Silent Voice so you can see the NPC dialogue in non-voice-acted mods. OBSE is really easy to install and works with both the Steam and CD versions of the game, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Faceshifter
The Sundered Keep Didn't remember Towns needing OBSE, pity.

Hickory
You mention companions. If you want 'interesting', look no further than Vilja, there is no more interesting companion than one with over 4000 lines of fully voiced dialog, plus quests. ub3rman123
Please, give Nehrim another chance! It's slow at the beginning, but once you get into Act 2 you'll be totally engrossed. I consider it to be a better game than Oblivion could ever be. Excellent writing, developing characters, epic scenery, the game mechanics have been updated to be better than Oblivion, all kinds of stuff.
