It helps in these grind games if you have friends to play with. I have very fond memories of Diablo 1 and 2, because I mostly played them with a core group of friends.

Some games are best played online than offline, and I think Diablo is one of those games.

Exactly Dark0ne :) those were my thoughts as well. I even started a guild with someone in Diablo 1 shortly after it came out and that guild stayed together for quite some time. I think all the way through the 3rd year or so of Everquest.

i have to say i agree, however i dont have any friends who play Diablo. well i have friends who have played it, like the one who beat it 8 times. but they dont play it currently and dont have any interest in a play through. ive had the game for a few years now but i didnt get it until years after it came out, so most of my friends who have played it played it when it was new.

but that mentality goes for many games. online games now a days like bfbc2 or Resistance 3, i usually dont go online unless i have someone to play with. competitive is boring for me, even though im decent at it, unless i have a friend online to chat with while i play.

it woulda been nice to play Diablo 2 through with someone though. hopefully a couple of my friends will get D3 or Torchlight 2 so we can coop together.

although i kind of have an urge to play D2 now. the one thing Torchlight has over Diablo, is that you level faster in torchlight making the game more exciting. it takes so long to level after a while in Diablo then i get bored not picking or upgrading new abilities.

but i still kinda wanna play lol

well im getting bored with Torchlight now. lol i do it to myself. when i get into a game i play it A LOT. a little too much, so i get bored of it fast. i beat the main campaign on Torchlight with alchemist (got to lvl 41) and that was after i got to lvl 34 with a differenct alchemist (whom i realized was like 2 lvls from beating the game as well, but he was a toon i had started when i first got Torchlight so his playtime wasnt associated with this play through time lol) got to lvl 26 with the devastator, and now to lvl 11 with the vanquisher. started into the Shadow Vault instead of the campaign a little with my vanquisher to help break up what i knew, but it was too late. its just been a little too much Torchlight a little too fast, which is why i had an urge to play D2...but i wont :P

instead ill prolly go back to Resistance 3 for a bit then on October 4th Dark Souls comes which will suck up all my time until Oct 25 (i think?) when Battlefield 3 comes, and even then, if Dark Souls is as good as Demons Souls, and as hard, i might be playing it past when i get B3, but we will see lol.
