huntsman2310a
You can set Steam to install from disc whenever a retail copy is put in. I found this out after uninstalling Fallout New Vegas. I went to reinstall it and was frustrated to see the game immediately downloading, it was at least 6 gbs. So I went on the 'net, and found a solution. You can set Steam to install from disc by doing this: 1.Enter the start menu. 2.Type run into start search. 3. in run's search bar. type this "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -install E: (Just replace E with whatever disc drive you have)
BigBodZod
I'll take Steam over GFWL any day.... that one just eats up your resources like no tomorrow :wallbash: I still fight with it to run RF:G, and my computer is way beyond the recommended for that one.... I agree, I hate the fact I have to login to a GFWL account to get RF:G to work and I purchased it from Steam too. Oh well, still fun to play however. Here's to hoping that there will be a nice option to install from optical media instead of Steam as I plan on getting the Collectors Edition instead of the Steam version.
