So, out of curiosity, would a mod that uses FO3/F:NV assets, but doesn't pack them, be allowed? Such as how TTW requires you have the FO3/F:NV archives to work?

In theory, yes, but since going from FO3/NV to Fallout 4 requires conversion, it's impossible to reference the original game files. The texture files should be usable directly, but they wouldn't be in a folder that FO4 can grab, so you'd need to account for that, and the meshes certainly wouldn't be able to be referenced directly.

Now, if you had an utility that could automatically grab and convert the meshes, you could set it up in a way that would technically respect Nexus ToS, but that's a very complicated and roundabout way to get to what you want to do.

So, uh, no promises but... I've been spending the last few days on this.

Looks amazing so far. Am excited to see it with textures

*cough*. An alt texture - Maliwan is my goto colour scheme in any game that offers customization. The texturing isn't done yet on this one, no glow map and the scope is just pure white right now. Still working on the classic colour scheme and a Big Mountain one, each will have their own effects.

 

Edit: Oh, and the lighting is probably a bit too bright in the image, but I had to force the spec to see how it would look.
