How long until the jokes start?

Ive got a KILLER collection already :P

Yeah i know, too soon.

Didn't South Park wait two weeks after another Steve (Irwin) died?

Anyway, since I've already said what I needed to say to this Steve, and he will be missed on this plane, on to AAPL. We'll all just have to wait and see how things go. The company is certainly capable of continuing, but who knows who will be the next to have that Aetheric Grasp of what needs-to-be-made like Steve Jobs had?

I'm sure they've already had the idea of bringing The Woz back, but I dunno...maybe that might be seen as a weakness? But then again, that principle does have precedence (Jobs himself).

Not an Apple person, but he was a great innovator for many products. If you guys haven't seen it, watch "Pirates of Silicon Valley". Great film on the rivalry between Gates and Jobs.

RIP

Just heard about it. Very sad and unexpected.

Sad, yes, but definitely not unexpected. It was pretty obvious over the last year or so that he had become gravely ill and wasn't going to survive for long. When he resigned back in August I already knew that he knew it was over.

It was for me. I wasn't aware the man had cancer when he had died. I feel a little stupid now to be honest...

Such a shame for this to happen, now, I absolutely can't stand the business model they've adopted and they products they've created, but I can recognise intelligence when I see it and give credit where it's due. Steve, technology's current popularity's mostly down to you, such a shame that this happened. :/

Memebase is way ahead of you mate.

Ah, yes, the trolls and neckbeards of certain Dark Crevasses of the internets e-came out of their basements to howl with glee at the first mention of the great man's untimely death, the poor little b**tards.

You can also judge a man's greatness by how much he stimulates the weak and fearful, for however much they clammer on the cages of their darkness, it is only a reflection of the brightness of that light.

("Don't think I'm one of those hard-liner Mac fanboys who put Jobs up on a dais in the Techno-Temple," he says as he types on his MacPro, "but the man was great.")
