i have a 2 year old gaming laptop with the current specs:

System Model: G60VX

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

Memory: 4096MB RAM

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M

Display Memory: 2797 MB

that looks like it surpasses an xbox

so it should play

There's a little more to it than that, since the console version is optimized for that system's specific hardware while the PC version is less optimized in order to accommodate wider varieties of hardware. Still, this rig looks like it could probably run the game, though we won't know for sure until the official requirements are released.

It should run Skyrim at an medium setting. Id wait for the official system requirements though before you consider buying any new hardware.
