Felscor
The biggest thing to me at the moment in Oblivion is how Long it takes to wait 24 hours. It's something of one hour per second! What I want to know is how one might be able to modify the speed the menu waits. For example, instead of 1 hour per second, say 6 hours per second, even 24 hours per second. The problem is that I don't even know where to find the waiting menu in the construction set let alone modifying it. I don't need a step to step tutorial but I would like some direction to how to find and modify the wait menu.
AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,there is a reason for that slowness, during your wait the game world does not stand still ;) A lot of scripts (AI, Weather etc) continue to run, new scripts are started and so on.And no, I don't believe this setting is mod-able. Felscor
Thanks for replying, pity it isn't feasible but I guess I could just be patient.
Lanceor
If you're on PC, you could use the console function set timescale to 10000 or some other huge number to make time fly really fast. Keep checking your journal to see what time it is and when enough time has passed, use set timescale to 30 to bring it back to normal.

Oblivion, Morrowind, and Skyrim all run on the same engine and there is mods for Skyrim that will reduce wait time. Also there is no scripts running other than weather and time, I know this because if you wait in front of any npc that would usually wander around aimlessly they will be in the same position they were in when you started waiting. KatsAwful
They are not the same exact engine, that is a misnomer. They're as similar as Unreal 2 and
Oblivionaddicted
You should like Immersive waiting https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/19861/
glowplug
Immersive by title and immersive by nature. It does, however, require going into inventory every time - that is not exactly fast. Some time after buying Oblivion on DVD, I started creating mods then found waiting a problem so I built this spell.Since then I've developed a number of things that allow me to level a character at a rate more like other RPGs. That and test my mods without needless distraction.
Pellape
I agree that the waiting is too long as I do want the cells to get reset time to time and I think glowplug's spells is the answer and I will test it tomorrow. //Pekka
