Goliath978
This is a tough question that struck me. Would you rather have a really large area with stuff spread out or a smaller landspace with lots of stuff in close proximity. I cant really comet a conclusion as to what I want. In TES4 often long spans of nothing but reappearing grass got rather boring, but I can't stand the idea of a small world.
Corakus
TES4 is not that large and spread out, it's only 16 square miles, if anything it could be less dense.
ub3rman123
I prefer a larger world, because if all your landmarks are right beside each other it feels too overwhelming, and going through them turns into a chore. New Vegas had that problem. You'd have just cleared out the latest dungeon only to find one buried in the other side of the hill from it. Also, a larger world means more room for mods and fewer conflicts.
SgtHallMonitor
Who says there can't be a nice in between? ;) If I had to choose, it would be a larger less dense world.
Horgr
I like a larger area, it gives the illusion that there is more in it. I like going to an area and not knowing if I will find anything. I also like being able to fully immerse myself in an area (tundra, forrest, etc).
Seviche
Larger and less dense.
TroloWiseEared
Large but dense With some form of geographical terrain funneling you in some situations.....hmmm sounds a lot like...... :psyduck:

jedimembrain
honestly small and packed with content .. I wouldnt mind a single city game so long as it was full of life beyond any other TES game .. good AI .. interesting evolving quests .. lots of character in every NPC
Odai
Skyrim is more dense than Oblivion thanks to tiered landscaping.
